Love Never Felt So Good

Chapter 15: Taylor confronts Steffy

 Chapter 15:
Taylor stood there in the entryway with her mouth open. This wasn't what she was expecting.

Carter & Steffy were holding each other close as they kissed passionately. Then he got that feeling that they were being watched.

"Steff," whispered Carter after their lips parted. He then made a motion to her to turn around. She gasped in horror when she saw her mother.

"Oh my God! Mom!!" said a shocked Steffy. Taylor's shocked expression then turned angry as she laid eyes on her daughter.

Getting the feeling that this wasn't going to be good, Carter put his hands on Steffy's shoulders. Taylor then turned her angry glare at him & at her.

"What the hell is going on here? I come here to talk to your father, & this wasn't what I was expecting," said Taylor. Steffy just stared at her mother with big eyes.

Carter, however, knew what he needed to do. He decided to respond.

"Ridge is at a meeting with Eric, Rick, and Throne just in case you were wondering, ma'am," he said politely. Taylor just nodded.

"Thank you. Now may I please speak to my daughter alone?" asked Taylor. "I'll meet you at my office, Steff," Carter said to Steffy who then kissed him before he left.

As soon as Carter closed the door behind him, Taylor then let it all come out.

"What the hell is going on, Steffy? I come here to LA from Paris & find out from Thomas that you're dating Marcus's brother?" asked Taylor angrily. "So what, Mom? Why do you care?" aksed Steffy who could her anger starting to come to the surface.

"What do you mean 'so what', Steffy? This is such a....." Taylor started to say when Steffy cut her off with, "Don't even say it, Mom."

Taylor looked at her daughter with big eyes. She wanted to slap Steffy but knew that it wouldn't do her any good.

Steffy then continued with, "You were going to say Brooke, weren't you? Let me tell you this, Mom. It isn't like any relationship I've ever had. I love Carter with all my heart, & he loves me. He treats me with the kind of love & respect that I know that I deserve. He doesn't mess with my feelings the way Liam did."

Taylor could feel the tears coming to her eyes. Still, she wasn't willing to give in. She was simply too stubborn for her own good sometimes.

"Sweetheart, Liam didn't mess with your emotions. He loves you. He always has. He's told me that many times," said Taylor remembering the coversations she had with Liam about his feelings for Steffy.

Steffy, on the other hand, wasn't buying that.

"Liam never loved me, Mom," said Steffy. "He just loved playing mind games with both Hope & me. He & I were never meant to be together anyway. Now Hope's left him, & I hope it's for good because she deserves way better then him."

Taylor felt herself shake. She then began to wonder if Steffy was right about Liam. She also wondered if Steffy had truly found happiness with Carter.

"Are you sure about this, honey? Are you sure about Carter?" asked Taylor who now had tears in her eyes. Steffy nodded & said, "Yes I do. I have never loved anyone like I love Carter."

Taylor found herself understanding even though she still didn't like it. Seeing Steffy happy & in love made her happy, but she still didn't like it because she didn't know him.

To Taylor, the relationship between Carter & Steffy reminded her of some of Brooke's past relationships, but then she thought for a moment that maybe this one was different.

Still, Taylor knew that she had no choice.

She had to accept it.
