Chapter 17: Shocking Revealation

Chapter 17:
Over the next few days, things seemed to be going well for Carter & Steffy. It was what they had hoped for.

After a lengthy conversation, Taylor accepted the relationship between her daughter & Carter wholeheartedly. She saw how happy they made each other & how Steffy seemed to come alive when she was with him.

Taylor had to admit that this was the happiest she had seen Steffy in a long time. She was glad for that.

However, like always, there was drama around the corner.

It happened on a Saturday. Steffy had decided to go to Forrester Creations to work with Thomas on some ideas for PR for his Taboo line, which was going to launch at a splashy celebrity-filled event at Macy's in a few weeks.

As they were looking over some minor details, the phone on Thomas's desk rang. He looked at Steffy.

"I'll get it," said Thomas who then picked up.

"Thomas Forrester speaking......yes?........are you sure about that?.......really?.....oh my God, I can't believe this......all right, I'll tell her about it. Thank you. Goodbye." He then hung up & turn around to looked Steffy right in the eyes.

"That was Granddad," said Thomas. "What did he have to say?" asked Steffy. "He's in Hawaii with Quinn & Aunt Pam," said Thomas. "Why is he there? I haven't heard him say anything lately about going there," said a confused Steffy.

Thomas just sighed. He had no idea how to tell her what he had just been told over the phone. Still, he had to or else she would find out from someone else.

"Here it is: Granddad is in Hawaii because Hope got married there," said Thomas. Steffy just let her mouth fall open.

"Are you serious? I mean, it's only been a week since she left Liam at the alter!" cried out Steffy. "Well, it seems to me that she has rebounded with that Wyatt guy she was working with & decided to marry him," said Thomas.

Steffy found the rebound part hard to believe. Sure, she had noticed a distance growing between Hope & Liam over the past several weeks, but to think that her rival had found love again with her ex's brother & had married him now left her dumbfounded.

"Are you going to tell Brooke about it, Thomas?" asked Steffy. "I have to. It's better then her finding out through TMZ," said Thomas.

Then something came to Steffy, & it freaked her out.

"Do you think Brooke will accept Hope's marriage?" asked Steffy. "Knowing her, no. This is the same woman who desperately wanted you & Liam to break up, remember?" said Thomas. Steffy just nodded.

Still, knowing that Hope had possibly defied Brooke & married Wyatt was something that simply blew Steffy's mind. She had had no idea that Hope had it in her to follow her heart, but she did have to admit to herself that she was impressed.

Still, Steffy knew that once she went to Carter's place to hang to & have dinner, she knew that he would be very interested in this.
