Chapter 22: Steffy's Surprise for Hope

Chapter 22:
Steffy gently knocked on the door & entered when she heard Wyatt say "Come in".

Hope & Wyatt stood there in front of Eric's desk holding hands. Steffy couldn't help but notice the beautiful diamond rings on Hope's left ring finger.

However, the mood got even more intense as Hope glared at Steffy. It was clear to her that she didn't want her rival there regardless.

Steffy just sighed & began to wonder if she was making a huge mistake

However, at that moment, Steffy didn't care. She knew what she had come there to do, & she was going to do it no matter what Hope was thinking at the moment.

"Please don't look at me like that, Hope. I'm not here to confront you," she said. "Then what do you want?" asked a suspicious Hope. She then got her answer.

"I'm here to congratulate you," said Steffy with a bit of a smile. "I'm really happy for you both. I know that I made some major mistakes regarding Liam, & I regret those very much. I know that 'sorry' won't cut it with you, Hope, but I want you & Wyatt to know that Carter & I are in your corner no matter what."

After saying that, Steffy braced herself for whatever reaction she was going to get from Hope. She knew that she had been honest with her, but she wasn't sure how her rival would perceive it.

She then got something she wasn't expecting.

Hope stuck her hand out, smiled, & said, "Thank you, Steffy. I appreciate that. We both do."

Steffy then smiled & shook Hope's hand, feeling their rivalry fade away as they did that. She then waved to them & left. She began to feel better as she realized that she had, in fact, done the right thing by letting Hope know she supported her marriage to Wyatt.

However, just as she was about to turn the corner that lead to Carter's office, Steffy almost crashed into the two people she had feared would try to ruin Hope & Wyatt's marriage.

Those two people were Ridge & Brooke.
