Today is Joe's 25th birthday.
It's around 11 in the morning and Joe is, luckily, still asleep.
You tiptoe to the cupboard that you did all the balloons and streamers in to cover the bedroom so when he wakes up it looks nice and you take out some presents out from the cupboard too, as it was one you never really went into.
Making sure he's still asleep, you make your way to the kitchen to make him some breakfast in bed, consisting of beans, bacon, egg, sausages and everything you need for an English breakfast, his favourite.
Before you made your way through you got your phone, made sure it was connected to the Sonos speakers before blasting out 'Happy Birthday' by Stevie Wonder.
You made your way into the bedroom and seen Joe lying in bed, smiling at you as he brought in his breakfast.
'Happy Birthday babe.' You say and Joe smiles pushing a strand of your hair to the side and kissing your lips. Butterflies erupting in your stomach, he still has that effect on you.
You sit in bed and eat breakfast, talking about how much he likes the decorations and everything you have done so far, little did he know what was coming.
Once breakfast was over Joe unwrapped his presents, the first, a bracelet that had both your names engraved into it along with the date you got together, a scrapbook of lots of little memories of the two of you and other bits and bobs that you knew Joe would like.
You both got ready for the day and made your way to the first stop out of two.
You hopped into the car and started the drive to the bowling ally as Joe said he wanted to kick your butt. Boy was he wrong.
You both came out of the bowling ally, Joe won.
'Haha! I told you I would win.' Joe smirks and wraps his arm around your shoulder.
'Oh, we're definitely having a re-match soon.' You say winking.
'So, I was thinking, we could spend the next couple of nights away, to ourselves .' You say wrapping your arms around his neck as he places his on your hips.
'That sounds like an amazing idea.' Joe says pecking your lips.
Before you came the bags were already in the back of the car as you packed everything the night before, which meant you could drive straight to the place you were staying.
You soon arrived and checked into the hotel before having a nice weekend away together.
