Pre-party

*they them enjoyed a fun dinner with the guys from the isle plus Ben and Doug, they told them the news and the response was good, they later went away for a while just to kill a little time before the red carpet, yet another thing which unsettled her significantly but she's was trying to go with it, she was engaged to the King, however much she disliked it this was her life now, she would struggle with finding a middle ground with it but she'd have to try and she'd accepted that at this point*
Mal: thank you do everything you've done today
Ben: thank you for agreeing to marry me even with all the craziness
Mal: everything about my life is a little crazy, why should this be any different?
Ben: are you ready to tell the whole kingdom this
Mal: we'll find out
Ben: here's hoping that means yes because we've got to go soon
Mal: okay, I'm ready for this
Ben: you're sure that your ready to tell everyone?
Mal: it's almost like you don't want me to be
Ben: it's just that if we're not ready to tell them and we do then it's more likely this won't end well and I don't want that
Mal: are you not ready?
Ben: no god no, I'm 100% ready I just wanna make sure you are as well
Mal: I'm not gonna lie and say I'm 100% because I'm not like I've completely got it running through my head like 'oh my god are we insane we're 18 & 19 years old but what I am 100% on is that I want to spend the rest of my life with yourself
Ben: we probably are crazy you know? But who cares, all that matters is that this is what we want and we're happy with the choices we've made
Mal: you happy with your choices?
Ben: always, you?
Mal: forever
Ben: you ready to go?
Mal: yeah let's go
*he takes her hand and leads her off to regroup with Doug and Evie for one of the most nerve racking moments she would probably ever face as she had decided, little was she to know that there were many more terrifying moments to come in the not so distant future and more specifically her not so distant future with ben*
