Sam made her way over to the couch, and sat at one end, her feet under the coushin.

Remus did the same, and sat across from her. "Look, Remus... there's something I haven't told you." Samantha started.

"I didn't know how, and I still don't. You'll think I'm crazy.... but, I have to tell you." Sam uncomfortably sat there, looking down.

"You know at full moons, what I can do?" she slowly said. Remus nodded. "Well, awhile ago my dad got a little too close to my mother at a full moon... he could do the same."

"After a ton of research, and much more my parents found out what it means..."

Sam took a deep breath, she didn't want to tell Remus. She didn't know how to.

"My parents found out that it means they're soul mates."

Remus' jaw dropped a little, but he snapped it shut. "S-soul mates?" he croaked out. "Why didn't you tell me?"

Samantha looked down. "I-I didn't want to freak you out, or anything..." Sam quietly answered.

"Freak me out? That's the lamest answer ever." Remus laughed. He got up and made his way to the other side of the couch where he pulled Sam up and into a hug.

"I'm so lucky." Remus whispered to himself.

The next morning all five Marauders woke up early and sat around the fire in the Common Room planning a huge prank. Seeing as they didn't do one on Halloween like they planned, they were going to do it this next weekend, after the trip to Hogsmead.

Sam woke up early on Saturday morning, something she rarely does and hates to do. She quickly took a shower, then threw on a pair of light jeans, a vee-neck sweater, and her high-tops, then ran down to the Common Room to find Remus, James, and Sirius by the fire.

"Where's Peter?" she asked.

"Sleeping." all three guys responded simultaneously.

"Figures." mutter Sam. Peter never woke up early, and the boys never woke him up.

Remus got up and walked over to Sam. He had been taking the whole soul mates things very well. They quickly kissed, making James groan.

"Get a room. I don't want to see my best friends kissing." James said.

Sam rolled her eyes at James. "Ready?" she asked everyone. They nodded, then headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast.

"James Potter. Sirius Black," mutter Filch as the Marauders passed Filch, the caretaker. "Remus Lupin. Samantha Swift."

"We're free!" cried out Sam as they got away from Filch. Everyone laughed.

They continued down the gravel road out of Hogwarts and to Hogsmead. Once they got into the small, all magical town, they headed straight to Zonko's to get fireworks, which they were going to set off at dinner tonight.

James led Sirius, Remus, and Sam behind the counter and into a back room where a middle-aged man sat.

"James!" he smiled as they walked in.

"Hey, Zonko." James said, sitting in one of the four chairs next to him. Sirius, Remus, and Sam followed.

"What'cha need today, boy?"

"We're looking to see if you have fireworks in the shape of a lion" grinned James.

Zonko grinned. "Sounds good." he said. "Lucky you we have one left." Zonko got up from his chair, and walked over to a ton of boxes that were stacked on the other side of the room. He rumaged through them for a good five minutes, then finally pulled out a large package.

"I know you know what to do, James." James nodded. "Tweleve galleons, please." James handed over the money. "Good luck." Zonko said as they walked out.
