The New Recuit (Abe love story)

Chap. 5 Back at the Base...

they arrived at the base. Abe woke up Joan. as he said he would. Joan " good I see we're here." Abe chuckled. Abe "here come on let's get that thing out of your arm." Joan "yes let's." Abe led Joan to the informer room. Joan sat in the chair. Abe put gloves on and grabbed a pair of tweezers. he slowly started to pull the long nail out. Joan "ow!" Abe " sorry." Joan " it's alright." Abe pulled the nail and out and set it down on a metal table. Joan had a large hole in her arm. Abe wrapped her arm with bandages. Joan " my arm feels a lot better." Abe " I'm glad. now let's go home." Joan "alright." they meet up with red and went back to the van and went home.

Joan woke up the next morning. she took the bandages off and the hole was gone. she wondering what new would happen.before, She changed her clothes to something a bit more relaxing. A loose gray long sleeve sweater with blue jeans. She opened her door with Abe on the other side ready to knock. Abe "Joan. I'm glad your awake. I thought I was going to wake you,and..." Joan "no.no. I'm glad I ran into you I was just going to ask where the kitchen was." Abe "I was just about to show the house." Joan "oh. well then great." Abe "shall we." Joan "sure." Abe showed her all the bath rooms, bed rooms, the gym they have, the dining room, living room, game room, and ending with the kitchen. Joan "thanks for showing me around." Abe " it was my pleasure." they both remained silent for a while. as Abe was just about to leave Joan asks " hey Abe, um I was just wondering if you would to join me and have a um, a cup of coffee." Abe " oh, I dont drink coffee. I just..." Joan " no. It's fine. I mean... I get it... you know... some people just don't care for it... I mean I'm not just assuming you don't..." Abe " no. your right. I just..." both "don't really like it." Joan looked at Abe and Abe looked at Joan. they both started to laugh a bit. Joan " well I'm... going to... get... my coffee now." Abe " alright, just a... be care not to... burn your self." Joan " I will. I will." Abe " I will see around." Joan "okay." Abe softly saying "just a yea." Joan then reached in the cabinet for the coffee. Abe was still by the door. he watched her as she reached for the coffee grands. Her shirt lifted just enough to reveal a red spot on the side of her waste. Abe then left through the door wondering where she had got the mark from. He then started thinking if he should ask her. but then he knew he would be rude to ask. as Joan made her coffee she couldn't stop thinking about Abe. and how nice he was to her. she then thought it was probably just to makes her feel welcome. but she still just couldn't get him out of her head. she then felt a sting on her side. she grasped at her side. she then lift her shirt and it was the side with the red mark on it. she looked at it with anger. the bell then went off on the coffee maker. she let go of her shirt. then pored her coffee in a cup, went out to the living and turned on the news. Abe later on thought about the mark again. "how did she get that mark?" he kept asking himself. Joan then finished her coffee and went back to her room to change. she was changing for the gym. Abe thought he could meet her in there and ask her. he was already dressed as usually dressed around the house and didn't think about changing so he raced to the gym and waited for Joan to arrive. Joan then walked out of her bed room dress in a sports bra and sweat pants. she then walked in the gym, to see Abe was already there...
