The New Recuit (Abe love story)

Chap. 7 Continuing the Second Misson...

They both falling fast to the ground. Abe then looked up and saw where they were both falling. it seemed there was some sort of light beaming down on the both of them. it was a news helicopter. and news vans parked all over the place. Abe then chose a safe spot to park. he parked the van in the spot and got out with of the van with Red. people stopped there cars and frantically ran around the street looking for safety. Joan had finally landed. there was a giant crater. Abe and Red didn't see anything. that was a until he saw Joan got back up with the Gargoyle tied in her arms. Abe walked over to Joan. Joan " told you I knew how to hand these guys." Abe laughed and Joan joined him. Abe " you were not kidding." they both laughed again. Abe "how are you holding up?" Joan " not so good. can we get him in the van. my knee is starting to kill me." Abe walked to the van with Joan limping next to him. they were both still laughing. Red was standing by the van waiting for them. Red " what's so funny?" they both stopped laughing for second. Joan and Abe "nothing." they both starting laughing again. Red " what's so funny?" Joan stopped to speak. Joan " let's just get in. the media is starting to surround us." photographs starting coming up and taking taking pictures.They all got in the van.drove to the base with the monster for there research. when they got there everyone got out of the van except Joan. Abe " are you okay." Joan "no. like I said my knee is hurting. I think it was because of the landing." Abe " would you like me to take a look at it?" Joan "sure." Abe "here let's get you in the infirmary." Joan "okay." Abe "would you like some help." Joan "no. I think I can make it." Abe " are you sure?" Joan "yea... let me just... stand..." Joan attempted to stand and couldn't. she almost fell face first but Abe was there and catch her. Abe "Joan." Joan "yea" Abe "need help?" Joan "yea." Joan stood up with one leg as she rapped her arm on Abe's shoulders. Abe grabbed her hand that was on his shoulder and helped her to the infirmary. Abe and Joan finally made it to the infirmary. Mean while some of the other doctors where examining the Gargoyle. Abe helped her to get on the chair. he then gently put his right hand on her right knee. she groaned in pain. Abe "well I would stay off that leg for a while." Joan "what is it?" Abe "you have a small fracture in your knee cap. I must say I'm amazed. from that height I would image more damage." Joan "I have strong bones.It will be fine tomorrow. But for now how am I going to get around." Abe "well we lost the only pair of crutches we had and the chair... but I can help." Joan " you don't have to do that. really. I can try to stay in bed." Abe " but how will you occupy your self until that time?" Joan "read some of my books. Maybe listen to music. I don't know. something." Abe "well it is until the day ends. alright." Then one of the other doctors walked into the infirmary. Doc " Mr.Sapien." Abe " yes." Doc "the examination is done." Abe "perfect. get him to one of the rooms." Doc "yes sir." the doc then left the room. Abe "alright. finally we can go home... Here Joan let me help you back in the van." Joan "alright." They did the same thing as they did at the van. and they went went back to the van...
