The New Recuit (Abe love story)

Chap. 6 The Second Mission...

Joan "Abe!" she stopped in her tracks. "I didn't know you where going to be in here." Abe was looking around the room. stopped and faced Joan. Abe " I was just looking around I have only been in here a few times." Joan "oh, well have... you... tried any of... equipment yet?" Joan then thought to herself "equipment? stupid stupid stupid. how can I be such an idiot." Abe "only once. why?" Joan "I was just wondering." Abe "Joan I have been meaning to ask you something." Joan " uh, sure anything." she said nervously. Abe "well, uh, I... I... forgot." Joan " you forgot what you were going to ask me?" Abe " yea I forgot." He laughed nervously. Joan " oh well, it will probably come back to mind later." Abe "yea. yea it will. well I'm going to leave so you can use this room..." he made his way to the door. Joan "alright, well it was nice seeing you ag..." the alarm then interrupted her as she was speaking. Joan "well that was a..." Abe " unexpected." Joan " yea. well better get changed." Abe " see you in the van." Joan "alright." they both went into there separate rooms to change. Joan wearing the something as the last mission. and everyone, all meet in the van. they then drove to the next mission. Abe still wondered about the mark until the van stopped, he focused back on the mission. and everyone got out. they were at the Empire State building where hours ago they get a call saying something about one of there Gargoyles coming to life. they all took an elevator to the top of the building. the creature sat on the edge and was eating part of the building. Joan then whispered to the both of them saying "I know how to handle these guys." she then quietly tiptoed to the creature. she was now standing above it. the gargoyle heard Joan and got startled. it opened it's wings and hit Joan straight in the face. she fell to the ground. it started flying away, when she got back up and she grabbed it's ankles, held on them as it flow higher and high. the gargoyle was now in the air, and started flying away from the building. Abe and Red looked worried as the gargoyle flo. Joan turned here head time face them. Joan "uh, would one of you please give me a hand. or some help would be good too." Abe "hang on Joan we'll think of something." Joan "well I hope you get something soon."red "yea. and I see you really do know how to 'handle these guys', in red's sarcastic tone. Joan "oh please... just get me down." Joan turned her head looking at the gargoyle. red turned to Abe. Red " Abe I have an idea. we wait until the Gargoyle reaches the other building and then wait for Joan at the bottom of the building." Abe turned to red. Abe " that's your plan?" Red "can you think of something better?" Abe " good point." Abe turned back to Joan. "Joan when you get across meet us at the bottom of the building." Joan "I'll try." Red and Abe then took the elevator back down. Abe opened the van door. Red " why did you open the door?" Abe "just in case." Red " in case of what?" Joan " uh, guys." they both took their attention to Joan. "it's going the wrong way. now what?" Abe "in case of that. get in. Joan we are going to follow you until it stops." Joan "okay. when do you think that will be?" Abe "I don't know." Red an Abe got in the van and followed Joan and the Gargoyle to where ever they went. Joan then got an idea. she then let one hand go of the foot and grabbed it's wing inableing it to fly. they both started falling. the Gargoyle in front of Joan it would be first to hit the ground, so Joan moved her other hand and then rapped the Gargoyle under her arm so she would land first...
