Chap. 9 The Fifth Day...

they had been busy the past three days. Joan's leg got better. monster here, monster there. they took care it them of course. but...

Joan woke up the next morning and she did what she usually did in the morning. got up and out of bed and got coffee. she then went to her room to change. Abe planned to meet her at her door this time and ask her about the mark. she opened the door and to her surprise Abe was was waiting for her. Joan "Abe! hi!" Abe "good morning, uh, I have been meaning to ask you something." Joan "sure. go a head." They both walked out of the hallway and were passing through the living room. Abe "if you... don't mind me asking... uh, were did you get the mark on your side from?" Joan stopped and took a deep breath. Joan "I wish that wasn't the question." she said in her head so he didn't here it. Abe " uh, Joan?" Joan "I'm sorry I have to-I forgot something... in room." she turned around and walked straight back to her room. Abe followed. Abe "oh Joan I didnt mean to..." she interupped him before he could finish. Joan "no it's just... I can't talk about it." Joan fast walked back to her room and Abe followed trying to apologize. Abe "Joan! Joan! please wait! Joan!" she then closed her door and locked it. Abe then thought to him self "nice going. I shouldn't have asked. how dumb of me." Joan went to her iPod and turned on her music to help her think. later on still listing to her music, sat on her bed thinking if she should tell him about the mark or not. She was in there for hours. and Abe sat out side her door feeling guilty for get her upset. Red then was going through the hallway and saw Abe sitting there with his head on his knees. Red "I know that look. what did you do?" Abe got up and brought red to the living room to tell him. Abe " I let my curiosity get the best of me." Red "what did you ask her?" Abe "Joan has a Red spot on her side and... I asked her where it came from..." his voice trailed away. Red "that's it?" Abe "yea." it went silent. Red "uh, what's that?" Abe "what is it?" Red "you don't here the music?" they were quit for a second. Abe "now I do." they went into the hallway. it was coming from Joan's room. they listened to the song."right now, I wish you where here with me. cause right now, every thing is new to me." Red "what kind of song is that?" Abe "Im not sure. but it sounds interesting." Red looked at Abe puzzled. then looked back at the door. mean while Joan was still deciding weather or weather not she should tell Abe. red "I'm going back to bed." Abe "okay." red then left to go to his room. Joan finally decided to tell him. Joan opened her door and Abe was already there. Joan " Abe!" Abe " Joan! I really didn't mean to..." she interrupted again. Joan "no it's just... I  had to... think to myself for a little bit. look I'm going to tell about the spot. but it's a pretty long story." Abe " are you sure you want to? because I am not going to force you to tell me if you can not. I under stand." Joan "no. I was going to tell you sooner or later. well now sooner. but..."
