"You promise you're gonna be okay alone today?" Sans asked Papyrus before they went their seperate ways for class. It was the next day, and Sans had been paranoid all morning that the bullies would come back, or that something would happen to Pap.

"I'll be perfectly fine, Sans! The Great Papyrus is very responsible!" Pap responded enthusiastically.

"Okay. If you say so." Sans gave his little brother a hug. "Love you, Pap."

"I love you too, Sans!" Papyrus exclaimed, bouncing away down the hall. Sans watched him run all the way into his classroom before he started to head to his own.

Once Pap had disappeared into one of the classrooms, Sans turned and almost bumped right into a teacher. She was a tall bunny monster, sort of like the ones in Snowdin. The bunny monsters had very large families. Not exactly as large as the Temmies, but close.

"Sans," the teacher said. "Can you come with me for a minute?"

"Of course, Miss Gray. Is there a problem?" Sans asked. Though, if there was, Sans couldn't imagine what it would be. He was one of the best students in his grade.

Ms. Gray sighed, and said slowly, "yes, Sans. As a matter of fact, there is."

Sans followed her into the office, where she led him into a room in the back. Inside, the three bullies from yesterday already sat. They were crying, though Sans knew their tears were fake. Sans could always sense when emotions were real or fake. He learned this from his father.

The teacher motioned to a chair, and Sans obediently sat. The teacher sat down in the fifth chair, which was behind a desk.

"So, Sans." Ms. Gray said. "What do you have do say?"

"About what?" He asked. What was going on?

"You know exactly what!" She brought her hand down on the desk with a thump. "Attacking three of our students on school grounds, and bringing them down to just 1 HP?! Don't you know that could have killed them?!"

Sans felt dizzy. He was in trouble because of what he did yesterday.

"B-but..." Sans sighed. "Yeah... But-"

"I don't want to hear it. Never should a student physically harm another student, especially in a way that could kill them!"

"But I was just trying to protect my brot-"

"I do not tolerate excuses!" She gestured to the crying bullies. "And neither do the victims, I am sure!"

One of the bullies stopped crying for a minute and spoke up. "W-we were just standing there... N-Not hurting anybody... A-and he j-just started attacking us... And it hurt...!"

The teacher looked back over at Sans. "Is this the truth, Sans?" She asked sharply.

"Yes, I did attack them, but they-"

"Of course you did. And with that, you've earned yourself detention for the rest of the month. Have fun."

At this point, the teacher got up and left the room, unwisely leaving the four kids alone. The bullies transitioned from crying to laughing, and wiped away their tears.

"Haha, convincing, wasn't it?" The leader of the three said. Sans wasn't sure if the bully was talking to him or to his friends. "Guess that's what babies get when they throw a temper tantrum!" They laughed and exited the room.

Sans sighed and placed his head in his hands. He wasn't crying. He was just worried. Mostly about the safety of his brother. Since Sans would now have to stay after school, Papyrus would have to walk home by himself. Sans pleaded that the bullies wouldn't pick on him then. And what would his father think when Sans came home late? How would he explain to him why he was in detention? The problems would just never stop flowing.

But Sans also would never give up.
