Hi, guys! I'm really sorry that this went for so long without updating. I've lost pretty much all my motivation for this story, but I'm not going to give up on it. I will still be uploading on this story, just expect less frequent uploads on this one than my others. Thanks, and I hope you guys enjoy! ;)

Sans knocked softly on the door to the lab, patiently waiting for Alphys to answer. He could hear some fumbling noises coming from inside, and after about a minute, she finally came to the door.

"O-oh, u-uh. . . h-hello S-Sans. . . I forgot you were coming. . . um, w-why don't you c-come in?" She said, and he followed her inside.

Sans was immediately hit with a massive wave of nostalgia as he looked around at the place where he had once lived. It was the same, and yet, it seemed so different. . .

Once again, tears began to sting at his eyes and threatened to come out. He took slow breaths, following Alphys upstairs. He would just get this over with, he decided.

He entered what was once his own bedroom, afraid to see how much it had changed. He stared sadly at the ground, wishing desperately to go back. To relive the joy he had once felt, and in this moment knew deep down that he would never feel again.

"Ready?" Asked Alphys, snapping him out of his thoughts. He nodded, and she nodded back nervously.

"Alright, so . . . I haven't actually, uh . . . I haven't exactly taught anyone anything before, s-so . . . u-uh . . . um . . ." She trailed off, her gaze falling to the ground. "J-just! Let's get to the point!" She quickly said, looking back up at Sans. "So, um . . . t-that was the f-first time you've ever teleported, correct?"

Sans nodded again, and Alphys picked up her clipboard, scribbling down some notes. "Alright," she continued, "so . . . right before you teleported, what were you thinking? I-I mean, i-if that sounds, weird-"

"Nono, it's fine," Sans replied. "I . . . guess I was just wishing I could escape, really. Just . . . wanting to be somewhere else. And then all of a sudden, it actually happened."

"Okay . . . good." Alphys continued to scribble on her clipboard. "That's probably why y-you w-were able t-to teleport, then. I-In order to teleport, y-you just have to think about where you want to go, and c-concentrate really hard. Once you know how to d-do it, it will be a lot easier. Um, if you want, you can just start easy, like maybe teleporting across the room."

Okay. I can do this. It will be easy. I can do this. I can do this.

Closing his eyes, Sans could feel his breath shaking with nervousness. Concentrate . . . come on . . . come on . . .

It seemed like hours were going by, although Sans knew it had only been seconds. Come on . . . I can do this . . .  come on . . .

Just as Sans was finally starting to lose hope, he felt the same sensation as before, like his soul was whizzing through the air. Before he could even process what happened, he blinked open his eyes to find himself on the opposite side of the room. Alphys was so surprised by the sudden movement she almost dropped her clipboard. "Y-you d-did it!"

Sans closed his eyes again, and only a few seconds later, much quicker than the last time, he teleported across the room again, back to where he started. "Well, I did have a good teacher," he winked. "Thank you," he finished as Alphys blushed.

"Y-you're welcome."
