Chapter Six- Meet The Man

"It'll be fine" Ben said as the group walked into the office building of Force Music , Rey nervously playing with her rubber band .

"Fucking reckless " she said under her breath .

"Welcome" an older gentleman said , bald hair and grayish skin. "I am Snoke ... And you are all Thorns and Needles ... My next big star"

"We are ... You wanted to talk business" Ben said speaking as the front man and founder of the group.

"Well... We'd like to offer you a two year contract... Hopefully one album and a tour ... Not to mention award shows , benefits and commercial ads" Snoke said.

"Tour ?" Asked Ben , Rey sitting next to him and the rest of the group in the chairs behind him.

"Yes ... A North American tour ... The Untied States and part of Canada" Snoke smiled "of course not until an album is released ... You can't just do covers ... Do you have your own music ?"

"Yeah, Gwen is a good song writer... And so is Rey" he lied not knowing if she was but he wanted Snoke to think that they knew what they were doing.

"Wonderful ... Part of a good sound is women-"

"You think so ?" Rey asked . "That women are just as every bit important as men are ?"

"Absolutely... My daughter has even made sure so ... Made me take a class at NYU last summer on feminist studies ..."

Rey looked back at Gwen who had a huge smile on her face . "Anyway ... We would also like to do some early work... Maybe Good Morning America and some late night talk shows ... And if you sign with us today this Friday we could have you all moved into New York... Not to mention the opening act of the End of Summer music festival... Some covers as well as new material would be needed "

"How much does this pay?" Poe asked.

"The gig ? That's uncertain as of know ... But for you all ? You own the music , we own the studio , the only studio you're allowed to record in... So ... In terms it's 60 -40... You all with the 60" he said .

"And you're going to pay for us to each have our own place in New York City ?-"

"As well as the traveling expeensives and transportation " he smiled . "And full hair and makeup as well as wardrobe "

"Did you want to change us ?" Hux asked.

"Slightly... Just your image ... Nothing too extreme .... And we would want Miss Kenobi and Mr. Solo to share the title of frontman so we could be targeting a larger audience"

They all looked at each other and nodded . "You've got yourself a deal Snoke" Ben said shaking his hand.

"Can you believe it ? We're in New York City ! Signed to a record label and gonna play the biggest music festival this side of the Mississippi all because of the little flower girl here !" Ben said as the group were served their drinks at a local diner .

"I say we raise a toast to god ... For giving us the girl with best vocal range and cords in the world !" Gwen put her Diet Coke up .

"To Rey !" They all said and she began to blush heavily .

"Gwen ... You and I have to go to some fitting tomorrow so they can figure out what they want for us to wear for the festival " Rey said looking up from her phone .

"Sounds great... But I'm not wearing heels ... I'm tall enough" she laughed .

"They said they want to change our look slightly ... I just hope that don't make me shave my head" Rey said playing with the loose end of her braid .
