"Oi, shut up," a voice whispered in my ear. "MmHMM," I struggled to talk with my mouth against his hand.
"Shhh."

Footsteps were heard. "Well, Ember; That girl is studying in this school, isn't she?"

"Yes, she's one of the best students...but I don't see how that information should help you in your report."

"Mm well, I have to know about y'know the students..."
the voice; it sounds so familiar..

"Well, okay then." Okay, that's the principal for sure.

"Anyway, i heard about the mirror incident from one of the students......" the voice trailed off and footsteps were heard moving further away.

After a few minutes, Ember, confirming that the people talking were gone, turned around and kicked her attacker in the groin.

"OUCH!" A familiar voice cried out.
"What did you do that for?" A boy with dirty blonde hair came into view.

"Oops."

"Oops? Oops? I MAY NOT HAVE CHILDREN BECAUSE OF YOU!"

Conor groaned in pain from the after shock of being kicked in the groin.

"Two vs can't make a baby."

"Shut up," Conor said, pissed. He shook his head. "I asked you to come here to listen in to this meet-up. I've been seeing a suspicious dude in the school. That guy who was talking to Mr. Kellan."

"Well, what does he look like?" Ember asked.

"That's the thing. He wears this cap that shades his face making it unidentifiable," he kicks a nearby tree making it rain leaves.

"O-okay then. Why is Mr Kellan talking to this suspicious dude anyway?"

"From what I heard, this guy is going to sponsor our school in building something that's supposed to help in our safety in school."

"Which is?"

"Security cameras....everywhere."

It's break time. Ember could hear the sounds of gleeful laughter and could smell the aroma of food coming from the canteen. She longed to have a nice and happy life again. But that will not be today.

Ember quickened her pace as she passed the canteen. Time's a wasting. She turns her head, eyes darting around, looking for anyone who may be watching her. Then, she gave a discreet knock on the door and walked back-in into the principal's office.

"Oh, hello," Mr Kellan looked up from his desk that was filled with tons of documents. He looked like he could use a good night's sleep. His eyes droopy and red with dark eye bags under them. He must be under a lot of stress.

"Hi. You look terrible."

"Well, with all that's going on, what about the mirro- oh um. Sorry, not supposed to talk about that," he said, shaking his head. "Anyway, what are you doing here for? You aren't here to discuss my health, I assume?"

"You assume correctly."
