We have been walking for a very long time. Herobrine and Lily seem to be stuck together as Steve and Cece helped me stay on my feet. Herobrine didn't have the limp anymore, which made their walk not as awkward as they almost separated themselves from the rest of the group. Honestly, I was glad of that for two reasons. The first one was that they haven't seen each other for months, and I know how that works. The second one was that I couldn't look at them together without feeling guilty for leaving my dad and his group with such a bad image and absolutely no food or angry from my dad's betrayal. Turns out, Herobrine was right when he threatened my dad with death, since he was the one who decided that it was best to take almost all the food with us and leave them with one very small bag of candy bars. We figured we were going to get some from either abandoned vehicles or corpses that are on the road. Cece was already a little suspicious of the new girl. Not in a way that she's jealous of her, but in the way that she was weary. And I can't blame her. Lily has a close enough name to the drama queen to almost call them twins, but she is definitely a lot more shy and close to her father.

We stayed silent for a while, I guess to try not alerting other people nearby or keeping ourselves unseen by the monsters that would be willing to tear us apart. Eventually, I broke through the cold air, moving my head to where the bandage on my neck rubbed the side a little, making a new flow of blood leak onto my shirt, "so, how is everyone?" I know that was a bad way of trying to get others to talk, but I couldn't help it. I know I was hurt, but I was a little too paranoid that everyone now hates me because I decided to play I Spy, which added to the possible trust problem after I hit dad.

Cece was the first to look at me, the first time since we started walking, "well, it would have been better if we didn't crash your car."

I sighed before agreeing, "yeah. But if we didn't, they wouldn't be together again." I then remembered of how before Kevin came around, Herobrine would always be spacing out. Was he daydreaming about his little girl? I heard a little voice in my head, shaming me, you really messed him up. First, you take him out of his natural habitat, and then you had to keep him in that trap longer than you needed to. You should have died inside that car. I felt a little agony as I felt a little sadness come over me. I then couldn't help but try cheering myself up, why are you so upset, Tash? You somehow reunited a father and daughter and you have protected others from possible disaster. After all, you did save Steve from the ambulance, Cece from possible suicide, and Herobrine from the trap. Don't get yourself caught up. And you didn't know. It's not like you did all this on purpose. I sighed and let the conversation continue.

Steve was next, "honestly, as fun as it was in the car, it's better if we are going on foot. Not only is it less crowded, but we might as well stretch out our legs and we would be able to just jump wherever we need to go." The nearby skeletons looked our direction and looked as if they were going to draw their arrows and shoot at us. But they probably saw Herobrine there and possibly thought that it was a better idea to not shoot and have a possibility of shooting him or his daughter, so they loosened themselves and continued watching us from a little distance. We looked around as we wearily walked past some suspicious activity from behind a hay bale on the side of the road. I shook as I heard something stirring in there. And what made matters worse was that the father and daughter were fairly close to it.

I nearly jumped from the two that were helping me stand up, "HEROBRINE! LOOK OUT!" That made him stop and push his daughter behind him. The other two, who were completely oblivious of the situation, gave me questionable looks. At first, everyone just looked at me as if I were crazy, but then Herobrine jumped to the sound of hay being trampled. I barely heard it, but it was definitely audible to the two supernatural beings. Lily started walking backwards and bumped into another hay bale. Herobrine snuck right up to the haybale and poked his head around it. Before anyone can handle any more bloodshed, a gunshot sounded and Herobrine yelped in pain. He fell backwards and cradled his arm just out of sight of the gunman, hopefully. I grabbed my mom's pistol, hoping that I haven't lost my ability to shoot properly as hot tears came down my cheeks in full hatred due to the memory of my mom's death. That, and that I had some bullets and I wasn't aiming an empty pistol. I shouted between my teeth at the shooter, "PUT YOUR HANDS UP! OR WE'LL SHOOT!" I slowly handed mom's pistol to Cece before bringing my semi automatic from behind me by pulling the gun strap forward. I looked at the ammunition and noticed how my gun was filled to the point. Steve must have grabbed a dead skeleton's bow, because within five seconds, he had the bow string pulled and ready to shoot. Herobrine stayed on the ground and seemed to play dead as his daughter shrunk down beside the haybale to try to keep out of sight. Every once in a while, she would call out to her father, who was only responding with his moans as he tried to stop the bleeding. I waved Steve over and he followed as we strategically got onto the opposite side of the haybale as the shooter.
