"Hunter?"
What the fuck was hunter doing in London?
"Oh hey Harper," hunter said coldly pulling me out of my thoughts. "Umm Jackson I'm ganna go home," I said standing up and grabbing my stuff. "Wait don't you want to go hang with me and hunter?" He asked standing up too. "No I'm not feeling good so, I'll just get a cab and go home. Bye," I said walking away as fast as I could. Once I was far enough away I pulled out my phone hitting Carmen's number.
C: hello
H: hey Carmen
C: oh hi Harper
H: what's hunter doing in London
C: visiting his best friend Jackson
H: oh
C: hey look I can't be talking to you with all the stuff that's happened. I gotta to go bye.
With that she hung up. I hailed a cab before getting in. I told the driver the address and sat back. Once I was at the apartment, I ran to my room and slammed the door. I fell on the bed and curled up. I let the tears fall freely from my eyes not caring. Soon my eyes became heavy and hard to keep open. Losing I shut them and drifted to sleep.
Jackson's pov
"No I'm not feeling good so I'll just get a cab and go home," Harper said walking away pretty fast. I just brushed it off. "What's wrong with her?" I asked hunter. Me and hunter have been friends since my family moved in next to his family in America after we moved there when I was a few years old. "I have no idea," he said sitting down where Harper was sitting a few minutes ago. "So you know Harper?" I asked finishing my lunch. "Yeah we were really good friends before she killed her twin brother and older sister, my girlfriend," he said with anger. "Wait what?" I asked confused. "Her, her older sister, and twin brother were all in a wreck a few months ago. Her sister and brother were killed but she came away with no major injuries. She moved away right after," he said. "Oh," I said stunned. How could this beautiful, innocent, sweet girl do something like that. She could never, I thought. "How do you know she caused it?" I asked. "She just is," he said sternly. "Okay," I said zoning out after. All I could think about was this morning when she was crying. She was shaking violently and screaming at the top of her lungs. I was just laying in bed looking at my phone when all of a sudden I hear a high pitched screaming. I jumped up and ran to her room. I swung open her door running to her side. I shook her awake but when I did she flinched away from my touch. Once she realized it was me she opened her arms. All I wanted to to was hold her and tell her everything was going to be okay. "Hey Jackson," hunter said pulling me out of my thoughts. "Oh sorry," I said. "Are you coming to the party with me?" He asked standing up. "Umm actually I'm ganna go check on Harper at home. Next time," I said joining him standing up. "Oh come on she'll be fine," he said trying to convince me to go. "Bye hunter see you later," I said walking towards my car. I got in and drove home. Once I was in the flat I walked to Harper's room. I gently knocked on the door waiting for her to open her door. After a few minutes of her not opening the door I opened it on my own. When I saw she was asleep I walked over to her bed and pulled the covers over her small frame. She looked so peaceful and perfect when she's asleep. I don't believe hunter that she could ever do something like that but there's this little piece of me that still isn't convinced. I pushed that out of my mind and walked out of her room.
"Good night my love."
