Chapter nineteen

"Wake up you filthy animal," someone yelled splashing water on my face.

After opening my eyes fully I came face to face with a mean looking man.

"Boss will be here soon," he smirked, slapping me across the face.

My hands and ankles were tied, the rope cutting into my skin. Not long after the guy left the boss came in.

"Why hello there Harper," He said smirking.

"Whatdoyouwantwithme," i tried saying but there was tape on my mouth.

"Take the tape off her mouth," He said making another guy in the room rip it off my mouth.

"What do you want with me?" I asked once it was off.

"Revenge is what I want," He said getting up into my face.

"Jace hrap her and bring her into the x room. We're gonna talk to Jackson," He said as Jace grabbed me.

Jackson's pov

I was awoken by a stinging slap onto my cheek. I jolted my head up and my eyes open.

"Hello Mr Beckett," A man who was standing in front of me said.

"How do you know my last name?" I asked looking him straight in the eyes.

"Oh Jackson I know much more about you," He said making something click in my head.

"Hunter?" I asked recognizing his voice.

"I'm glad you finally figured it out," He said smiling.

"What hell do you want?" I asked realizing that I still tied up.

"I want revenge on Miss Jennings here," Hunter said pointing to a limp body next to me.

"Harper." I breathed out, being pained by her state.

"What do you want from her?" I asked looking back at him.

"She stole the love of my life away from me," He said anger dripping from his words.

"What do you mean?"

"She killed Harmony. The love of my life. My world. My everything," He said walking over to her.

"Harmony was your girlfriend," I said as all the pieces falling into place.

"The day after I was going to ask her to marry me," He said.

"After I heard that Harmony had passed I knew I had to get my revenge on her," he said walking up to me.

"And I want you to help me."

"Wait what?" I asked completely shocked.

"I want you to help me get revenge," He repeated.

"I don't know Hunter," I said, uneasy about the whole thing.

"I'll pay you $700," He said making my ears perk up.

"Doesn't your family still need money for Elcey?" He asked making me think back to the reason why I'm in London.

"I'll help you," I said after a while.

"Good choice. Now grab Harper and take her into the holding room. I've got some business to take care of," Hunter before walking out of the room.

Once he left I was left alone with Harper. I turned towards her before second guessing my decision.

"Jackson?" She asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.
