Jackson's pov

As I heard those words I instantly dropped my phone and ran. I hopped into my car and sped back to the hospital. When I pulled up I quickly parked before racing inside.

"Harper Faye Jennings. Where is she?" I asked the lady at the front desk

"Third floor room 303," She said before I ran to the elevator.

After getting in I hit the three before the doors closed. Once the doors opened I darted out and down the hall. After I finally made it to her room I quietly knocked before coming face to face with a broken looking Harper. I was frozen in my place as I saw the tears of pain trickle down her beautiful face. The doctor was explaining what had happened when I walked in.

"Miss Jennings you tried to commit suicide right?" He asked making tears fall even more.

"Yes," She said in a small voice,

It broke my heart to see the love of my life cry.

"Can you tell me how you did it?" He asked writing things down on his clipboard.

"I took a razor blade and cut along my vein," She said making me almost fall to the ground.

"And why did you do that?" He asked making me step in.

"Umm excuse me," I said walking further into the room.

"Ah Mr. Reed. it's nice to meet you," The doctor said while extending his hand for me to shake.

"Umm you too. Can I talk to Harper alone?" I asked wanting his gone.

"I guess. I'll be back later to talk more about this Miss. Jennings," He said before walking out of the room.

"What do you want?" She asked after he left.

"I wanted to explain why I wasn't there when you woke up," I said sitting down in the chair closest to her bed.

"Fine. But only because I don't want to go through another interrogation with Doctor Henry," She said looking over to me.

"A few day before you woke up I flew to America. I wanted to locate your parents and bring them back with me to see you. I found your aunt Brittany and Ashton. They  called your parents and they came over. I explained what happened and they pretty much said that it's not their responsibility to take care of you or come visit you. I was planning to fly back that next morning but your aunt said something that made me come back that night. "If you love her then go back to her side." So I came back here that night," I said finishing my explanation.

"You were gonna bring my parents back to see me?" She asked tearing up.

"Yes. I would do anything for the girl I love," I said nonchalantly.

"Did you just say you love me?" She asked taken back a little.

"Yes," I said looking into her eyes.

"I love more than just you. I love your smile. Your big eyes. The scattered freckles along your cheeks. The way you get giddy when your excited. The way you bit your lip when you're focusing on something. The way you mess with your fingers when you're nerves. The way you laugh then look down at the ground. The way you move your finger over your lip when you are thinking. The way you bit your thumb when yo

you're in an awkward situation. I love every little detail about you," I said sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I love you too," She whispered before leaning

                     Two weeks later

"Are you ready to go?" I asked Harper as I walked into her room.

"Yeah," she said while I grabbed the rest of her stuff.

Over the last two weeks Harper has been staying in the psych ward so they could make sure she didn't try and commit suicide again. I visited her everyday before working on a huge surprise for her. The plan is going down today and I'm really nerves. Jay, Elle, Brian, Missy, Colin, and Katie are all in on it and are finishing up the last minute touches.

"I'm so glad I'm out of there," Harper said pulling me from my thoughts.

We walked out of the room and down the hall before getting into the elevator. After we made it to the first floor Harper checked herself out before we walked to my car. Once we got in I started it up and started the drive back to our flat. The drive home was quiet as we listened to the music on the radio.

"How did you like my aunt and uncle?" Harper randomly asked as we pulled up to a stop light.

"They were every nice," I said looking over to her.

She had a spark of pain in her eyes as we talked about her family.

"They were like my second parents. When May and Arthur would be fighting they would let me stay there. I miss them a lot," She said as I grabbed her hand.

Soon we pulled into the flats' parking lot. I helped Harper get out after parking and got her stuff out of the trunk. We walked hand and hand up the stairs to our flat. Once we made it there I unlocked the door and let Harper go in first.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone yelled jumping up from their hiding spot.

"Oh my god," She exclaimed turning back to look at me.

"Happy 20th birthday," I said wearing the biggest smile I could.

"You remembered," She said as she walked up to me.

I leaned down to kiss her while she walked into my open arms. After we parted she walked around hugging and thanking everyone for coming. We ate our cookout food before opening her birthday gifts.

"You missed one baby," I said after she was done.

"Where?" She asked as I got up and walked to the front door.

"Here," I said opening the door revealing her aunt Brittany and uncle Ashton.

"Aunt Britt uncle Ash!" She yelled, jumping up and running up to them.

"Hey Harps," Brittany  said as she enclosed her into a bone crushing hug.

"Hey babe," Ashton said as she moved to give him a hug.

"What are you guys doing here?" She asked as I stood back watching the scene unfold.

"You can thank your amazing boyfriend over here," Ashton said as Harper turned to me.

"Thank you so much," She said running up to me and pulling me into the most passionate kiss.

"Anything for you my love."
