Jackson's pov
It had been three days since Harper was shot and it's been hell. Some people come and visit but not many. Her parents haven't come yet neither have her friends from home. I wait in her room as she sleeps, hopping one day soon she'll wake up and everything will be okay again. After she was shot the officer called back up and they took down Hunter and his gang. Kevin was shot and so was Maggie but they are expected to live. As for Hunter well he's facing life in prison without parole. The girls that were kidnapped. They have a happy ending, they were recruited and returned to their families. As for Harper, well she wasn't as lucky. Hunter's bullet hit a tendon that controls the movement of her leg. She hit the ground hard and has bleeding in the brain. She's been in a coma ever since.
"Hey Jackson, you need to get some sleep," Jay said walking up to me.
"I can't leave her," I said not looking back at him.
"Come on Jackson. At least eat something," Missy said holding out a sandwich
"I'm not hungry," I said turning back around towards Harper.
"Come on guys. He wants to be alone," Brian said as they all walked out of the room.
I sat in silence, watching every movement of Harper. She was hooked up to so many machines. Every one beeping once in awhile. She had a breathing tube in her nose, helping her breath. A heart monitor, making sure she was still alive. She looked so frail and helpless.
"I promise we'll get through this," I said kissing the top of her hand before getting up and walking out of the room.
I walked swiftly down the hall and into the elevator. Once it stopped I walked out and out of the hospital. I walked to my car before pulling out my phone.
"Hey Antonio I'm gonna need that private plane ride tonight," I said while forming a plan in my mind.
After we arranged the details I raced home and grabbed everything I would need.
Two hours later
"Hey Jackson. Nice to see you again," My old friend Antonio said as I walked across the landing strip.
"Hey man," I said giving him a quick hug.
"So remind me why you need this tonight," He said as we boarded the plane.
"There is this girl and she might die soon," I said repeating the reason I needed the plane.
"And you love this girl no?" He asked after I finished.
"Yes very much," I said looking out the window.
I saw the hospital where the love of my life was staying and knew this was the best for her.
I know this was short but it is what it. Comment on what you think Jackson is going to do. Thank you guys for 222 reads. That's amazing to me. I love you all and there might be another chapter coming up today or tomorrow.- Alden
