Skyler's POV
Pony,Johnny and I got to school a tad early then what we expected. We hung around our lockers, mainly their lockers. My locker is at the other end of the hall with Jordan's. Pony and Johnny are closer to the gym and change rooms. Two is right beside the girls change room, I wouldn't be surprised.
It's lunch break, Pony and Johnny sat with me. I was lonely till they got here. They put their food in front of them and talked about their day so far. I was a bit bored, they are a grade or two higher them me. Although Pony is the same age as me, he's in a higher grade. He is smart so they bumped him up one.
"Skyler, you gonna eat?" Pony asked, I was lost in though I didn't start to eat yet. I shrugged my shoulders.
"I'm actually not that hungry!" I said, Johnny nodded. He continued to eat and listen to us talk.
"Your gonna eat something and I don't care what." Pony said.
"Yea, you have to eat!" Johnny added. I was happy they cared.
"Fine for you guys I'll eat something." They smiled and continued to eat. I ate an apple and half of my sandwich. I wasn't full but wasn't hungry. The bell rang witch meant break is over and classes start in ten.
"Well see you later!" I said, they nodded and left towards their lockers. I walked passed their lockers and down to mine. Some Socs were standing around my locker. When I got their there was a note taped to my locker. I red the note "Greaser! You don't belong here!" I was a bit disappointed that people would do that.
"I ripped the note off my locker and threw it on the ground. I grabbed my books, and left towards class. I have science. I walked in, all the chairs were full or either had people using two. I saw a chair at the back of the class, someone was sitting in the chair beside it. I walked over at sat down.
"Is this seat taken?" I asked, the boy shook his head. I sat down and opened my books. I took notes as I drew all over my sheets. The boy kept staring at me, I looked over at him. He shot his head to the other direction.
"Like them?" I asked, he turned back towards me.
"Yea, there really nice!" He said, I smiled. I was happy someone liked my work. Although I shouldn't be drawing in class, I looked up and the teacher was in front of me.
"Miss Smalls!" She said and slammed her hand against the desk. I looked up.
"Yes?" I said
"What are these!?" She asked, I closed my book.
"Um...?" I didn't want to tell her I was drawing.
"She was showing me the food chain!" The boy beside me said, the teacher believed him.
"Very well then." She said and left and began to continue teaching the class. I looked over at the boy.
"Thank you!" I said, he smiled.
"For what exactly?"
"Telling her I was showing you the food chain!" I said, he nodded.
"Anytime, and I wouldn't mind telling a lie... for you!" He said, and mumbled the last part. I heard him, I blushed a little. He smiled and I smiled back.
"Didn't catch your name." I said, he never told me his name. If were gonna be friends, I need to call him something.
"Declan!" He said.
"Nice name, very creative!" I said, I honestly love his name. Never heard of it till today.
"Thanks and yours?" he asked.
"Skyler! Skyler Smalls." I said, he smiled. I was so caught up in talking to him, I missed a hole wack of notes. I copied them down quickly before the bell rang. "I'll see you around Declan!" I said, he turned towards me and walked over.
"Yea, see you around Skyler!" He said, I smiled and left. Pony was waiting at his locker, I walked over.
"Hey Skyler, how was the rest of your day?" He asked, I shrugged my shoulders.
"Someone taped a note to my locker, but besides that I made a new friend." I said, they smiled and closed their lockers.
"Nice!"Johnny said, I smiled.
"Cmon let's head home!" Pony said, I nodded and followed them out the door. I walked out and headed towards my way home. Pony and Johnny ran up to me.
"Where you going?" Johnny asked.
"Home!"
"Well why don't you come hang with us?" Pony asked, I kinda wanted to head home, but I guess I could hang with them for awhile.
"I guess, but I have to head home later!" I said, I know we have been all over. Some of us here and some at our house. We pretty much sleep at what ever house were at.
"Not if we get you to stay till late tonight." Pony said, he knows the rule.
"Well..." I said, he messed with my head. I knew he wanted me to hang with them. I walked down the street and continued on to my house. Even though I said I was walking with them. I lied. I herad footsteps behind me. Someone put their arms around me and lifted me up.
"Put me down Pony!" I said, I knew he was taking me back to his house.
"Okay!" He said, he ran to his house, I was still in his arms. I laughed. He dropped me once we got to his front door. "Can't go home now!" He said
"I guess your right! I'm stuck here with you!" I laughed, we walked in. I threw my stuff on the floor, they followed me to the kitchen. I grabbed a glass of water and sat down.
"What you wanna do?" Pony asked, I kinda wanted to look around.
"I don't know?" I said, I put my water on the counter and walked down the hall. Pony and Johnny followed. I walked into the first room, I looked around. I sat down on the bed, I saw a picture of two people.
"Who are they?" I asked, Pony sat beside me.
"My parents!" he said, I realized that they parents are dead. I felt bad for bringing them up.
"Oh I'm sorry!" I said, he nodded. He had a tear on cheek, I whipped it off and hugged him. "Sorry Pony!" I said.
"It's fine!" He said, he looked up at me. "Tell me!" He said, I was confused. "Your family?"
"Oh... My parents died when I was smaller. Bailey and I have been on our own. We left our..." I said, I couldn't help myself. I started to tear up too. Pony pulled me to him, I leaned against him and cried into his shoulder.
