Part 50, yay!Can I be emo if...:
I'm (certain ethnicity)?
I'm (certain religion)?
I have (certain kind of hairstyle)?
I'm (certain weight/body image)?
I'm (gender)?
I'm (sexuality)?
I don't look emo?
I don't cut?Emos shouldn't be labeled as "emo" because they
(Possibly) Self harm,
Are (possibly) suicidal,
(Possibly) have depression,
(Possibly) have an eating disorder,
(Possibly) have mental disorder,
(Possibly) have a disorder in general,
or anything like that.Emos should be labeled "emo" because they like the clothing, celebrities, jokes, etc., but most importantly, the music.
Listen here, being emo isn't based on looks, sexuality, gender, ethnicity, religion, or anything like that.
Being emo means being a kind person who *usually* has a fun personality, is kind and so forth.
Every emo I've ever met has loved some awesome music (alternative, rock, screamo etc.), and always been kind.
Being emo means enjoying some good music with some good people. That's all.
Even if you do (possibly) suffer from a, a few, or all of the things I listed it doesn't make you "emo".
Trust me, I know. I can relate to at least 3 of those things, but you know what? That doesn't make me emo. That isn't how I should be labeled. I, we, should be labeled for the music.
What makes you emo, is the music.
It's some fucking awesome music. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I am "emo" because of the awesome music, not because of my demons.
Stay emo my fellow heathens.
A.N.: Sorry for the rant, I just wanted to make it clear that labeling someone as "emo" should be because of their music interest, not their demons.
