[finn]
"Nate, give me my phone back!" I yelled at my brother.
He ran down the hallway and I chased after him. We reached the stairs and we heard our mom talking on the phone to someone.
"Grayson, this isn't funny anymore. Don't joke about that." She said sternly into the phone.
Nate and I exchanged looks.
"Did you call anyone?" She said now concerned.
"I'll be right there." She said uneasily and hung up her phone putting it on her back pocket.
"Finn... Nate!" She yelled.
We ran down the stairs now concerned.
"Yes mom?" We said in sync coming Dow the stairs.
"Get your shoes on." She said grabbing a coat from the closet.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Jack and Kate are missing." She said with tears in her eyes.
My heart dropped into my stomach.
[nate]
"Jack and Kate are missing." She said with tears in her eyes.
"That's a good one mom." I said nervously laughing hoping that it was just a joke.
"Nathan, I am not joking. Get your shoes on we're meeting the twins at your school." She said.
It felt like someone had kicked me in the stomach. I was frozen until Finn bumped into me to grab his shoes off of the staircase.
Skip ride to the school.
[ethan]
I had been pinching myself in hope that this was just a dream, well more that it was just a nightmare. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
Grayson was pacing back and forth.
The police had finally and behind them was mom with Nate and Finn.
The police began to put yellow tape across the entrance of the school because it was considered a crime seen.
Nate and Finn ran over to me and Grayson they hugged us.
Finn sobbed into my tee shirt.
"This can't be happening." He said in between cries.
I hugged him tighter and rubbed his back.
"It will be okay." I whispered in his ear.
We had been escorted from the area so that the police could do further investigation.
I drove home with Grayson, mom took Nate and Finn.
The ride home was quiet.
"Ethan, what if they don't find them?" Grayson said breaking the silence.
I pulled the car over on the spot.
"Grayson, why do you always have to think the worst?" I asked him.
"It's hard not to when two of your younger siblings have been abducted." Grayson said getting defensive.
"Who would have had a reason to take them?" I asked myself.
There was a moment of silence.
"The police took Jack's phone, but Kate's phone is at home. Should we look in that?" Grayson suggested.
"What would that do?" I asked.
"Maybe a stalker that she didn't notice or something. She did make her social medias public." Grayson started.
He waited about five seconds.
"Because I made her." He said looking down.
"Gray, don't blame your-." I started, but Grayson cut me off.
"It is my fault!" He said slamming his hand into the armrest on his seat.
"Grayson we don't even know if it was social media related." I said.
"Just drive." Grayson said in a pissy voice.
"Grayson." I said in a stern voice.
"Just... Drive." He said setting his head back on the head rest and putting his hands over his face.
I drove home, there was already a police car at our house.
"I had a dream like this one time. I was kidnapped." Grayson started.
"Remember? I was afraid to leave the house because I thought that I would be kidnapped? Mom and dad always told me that something like that would never happen to me. Right now, I really am wishing it were me rather than Jack and Kate." Grayson said before we got out of the car.
I ignored my brothers negativity.
We walked into the house and there were two police officers in the kitchen. One was talking to mom and the other was talking to Finn and Nate.
We walked in.
"Boys." Mom said motioning that we come over.
We walked over to our mom and the police officer.
"Hello boys, I'm officer Violet. I'm going to be investigating the case of your siblings kidnapping." The police officer said reaching his hand out for us to shake.
We both took a turn shaking his hand.
"Can you guys just tell me what happened after you arrived at the school?" He asked taking out a notepad.
"So, we were driving to the school because Jack texted me and told me to pick them up on the corner right off of the school." I explained.
"When we got there, they weren't there." Grayson cut in.
"Did you see anyone when you got there?" He asked.
"We saw one of their teachers, he said that he just had them because he had kept them after school for a test that they had missed last week. They were sick." I said.
"Wait." Finn said walking over.
"They had to make up a test that they missed?" Finn asked.
"Yeah." Grayson said.
"That's what Mr. Benson said." I said.
"There was never a test that week that they were sick. There hasn't been a test in probably three weeks." He said.
"Then why would he keep them after..." I said trailing off.
"No." I said.
The police officers started talking.
"I think we have heard enough for tonight. We will call your family when we find anything." Officer Violet said and walked out.
"What are you guys thinking? Mr. Benson kidnapped Jack and Kate?" Mom said.
"Mom, there was never a test." Nate said.
"Maybe there was for their class." She said.
"I went to their class to get any homework or tell them to study for them when they were sick. He never mentioned a test." Finn said.
"He wouldn't do that though, would he?" Grayson asked.
"I don't know... There has always been something sketchy about Mr. Benson." I said.
"I have had enough, got to bed."
