Chapter 9

"You kissed him!?" Alexa freaked out. She came around my house that afternoon wondering how the date went after we left the coffee shop.

"Yeah, and it wasn't just once."

"You kissed him more than once?!?"

"Yup, and he slept in my room last night."

"Hold up. So you kissed him, multiple times, he said you guys were dating, and to top it all off, you haven't told me any of this until just now..?"

"Pretty much, yeah."

"But I'm your sister! You literally ignored all of us just so that you could talk to him! You're phone probably has 1,000 unread messages!"

"Actually it has 42, but that is a pretty close guess."

She rolled her eyes. "Did you guys do anything...when you slept together?"

"No, we just started dating, let alone putting the train in the tunnel."

She laughed at my statement and I could resist laughing either.

"But Naomi, you need to text your friends once and a while instead of texting your little boyfriend 24/7." Alexa said, trying to contain her giggles.

"But I like talking to him more."

"But we've known you for years. He's known you for days."

I frowned. "You're no fun."

I then feel the vibration in my pocket and tell it was him. I take my phone out of my pocket and press the answer button.

"Nina, hang up." She demanded

"But it's important." I complained.

"Important my 🍑, hang up!"

His camera loaded in and I saw his pretty face.

"Hey, beautiful." He said.

I bit my lip slightly. "Hey, cutie."

He looked over and saw Alexa. "Hey, Lexi." She waved at him and came up next to my face.

"Sorry, Nina's not available right now. Please leave a message after the beep." She then hit the red button and hung up the call. I turned around and gave her a death glare. I was resisting not to choke her.

"You. Little. Brat!" I then jumped onto her, feeling our bodies tumble onto the hardwood floors. She screamed as we fell and cried when we landed. I felt her arm coming out of place as we fell, so I knew something was wrong.

"I think I broke it." She cried, tears coming out of her eyes left and right.

Oh 💩.

"Yup, it's definitely broken." The doctor told us. Alexa groaned and I gasped. I felt so guilty.

"For how long?" I asked him.

"About a month, two max. Come, let's put you into a temporary cast." He says, motioning Alexa to come with him. She painfully got off of the examination table and followed him to the other room. A nurse came in and told me to come with her and wait in the waiting hall, even though I wanted to make sure my baby sister was going to be okay.

I followed her and about 15 minutes later, she comes out with bandages wrapped around her right arm and an upset look on her face.

"Alexa, look, I'm so sorry about breaking your arm. I didn't mean to break it. It was a total accident." I tried to apologise.

"It's okay, Nina. Don't worry about it." Alexa calmly spoke. I looked at her with a confused look on my face.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, perfectly fine."

"You know you would be freaking out right now, especially when it physically hurts you."

"No, I'm a perfectly fine human being." I rolled my eyes and tried not to think about it anymore. If she wasn't worried about it, I wasn't worried about it.

We get into her car and begin to start to engine. I feel the vibration in my pocket, so I take out my phone.

How's Alexa?

I began to text him back. "She says she's fine, but ion believe her."

"There you go on your stupid phone again!" Alexa yelled, which made me look over at her. "All you do now is text Joe, call Joe, see how Joe is doing. It's like you can't take a single breath without finding out what Joe ate for breakfast!"

There's the Alexa I know and love. It made me smirk a bit to see her like this.

"Why are you smiling right now?! I have a 🖕ing injury that won't heel for like a month and you're smiling!?"

"It's funny to see you mad." I giggled.

"You're such a prick." She rolled her eyes.

"But you know you love me." I leaned my head on her shoulder.

"I'll start to love you when my arm gets better." She put her good hand in her pocket.

"Well you'll love me in a month then."

She rolled her eyes once more and we were off on the road back to my house.
