Blood Contract

A light shot from the center of Fuyo's forehead and flew onto the paper, the same happened with Mr. Lucky. It felt very strange but it was over and done in a single moment.

"They felt strange, okay. So how does the payment work? You are the previous owner right so I pay you?"

Mr. Lucky nodded, there were tears streaming down his face. This land was a major deficit for him, he not only spent his own money but also all his clans money. He nearly drove them broke but he convinced them that it was worth it. It cost him 7,500 gold, an astronomical sum that took their family hundreds of years to save up.

"Hey, why are you crying?"

"I'm just happy." He wiped his tears away and put his hands together in a fist and palm salute.

"Thank you for your patronage. May I ask benefactor why you wanted this land?"

"I recently hired 1,000 people to work for me. I want to start a farm."

"B..but I told you, it's not good for farming."

"Can you keep a secret?"

"I swear an oath of secrecy, if I tell anyone what you are about to tell then let a lightning bolt come down from heaven and strike me dead." He held his fist over his chest and yelled with certainty.

"Haha, okay. Relax, I'll tell you. I'm actually a master farmer, it may look bad to you but I'm sure I can find a way to solve the problem." He nodded his head in confidence.

'Is this kid serious or is he just an idiot? No, no powerful Lord would dare trust an incompetent buffoon with this kind of money even if it was his son. He must be the real deal.'

Gulp

'Okay then, time to get the first bit of money.'

Suddenly Tuzai sucked the 1,000 morganite spirit stones back into the bag.

"Wha..what's going on?"

"We don't have to pay it for 10 years right? So we can just come back and pay you in ten years' time."

"T..ten years? Damn!"

He tried to talk to them but they had already walked out the door. This was terrible because his own contract had backfired on him. He basically gave them a free ten years with the land. Even if they didn't pay him he wouldn't be able to do anything until the contract is broken and that would be in ten years' time. That means he would have to wait ten years to get payment.

"Dammit!" His thoughts were going haywire.

Fuyo is probably planning to cultivate the land and if he can't manage to do that then he will just let the contract expire without handing over any money. Mr. Lucky would get the land back but that's after ten years.

There is no punishment for breaking a contract, only the return of the sold item. If Fuyo had paid part of the price and then not paid the rest then he would get to keep Fuyo's investment and get the land back. It was a win, win situation so he wasn't concerned if Fuyo never paid the full amount in the end. The morganite spirit stones were more than his investment.

But things never worked out the way he planned, "I've been scammed again!"

The first time he was scammed was when he was sold this worthless land. He was even more down than before, the complete opposite of happy go lucky. He couldn't find any light in this dark tunnel called his life.

"I have to be smarter, I'm sick of being taken advantage of." He racked his fingers on the desk, he was visibly stressed. "I can't sell the land because it's current under his name, I can only seize it back through the courts. But the courts would throw it away because he still has ten years to pay it. Stupid, stupid, stupid." He hit his head on the desk in front of him.

"Argh!"

Meanwhile, Fuyo and Tuzai were flying through town. They had completely different thoughts, they weren't thinking about scamming him because they wanted the land. It was worth many times more than 100,000 gold in their minds.

They just thought that they could pay it later and use their current wealth to buy large amounts of supplies and tools for the farm. They have 1,000 workers now so they will need a lot of items, and the land they just purchased was 100 times more than they were planning.

"This isn't a dream right? We really did it?"

Tuzai nodded her head, "How can so many good things come our way?"

"We have to keep our wits about, there is danger lurking around every corner. If we let ourselves get careless then we might invite disaster to our front doorstep."

"Yes, you're right. We can't get careless; many people will start eyeing our fortune if we reveal it. It's best to stay humble and hide our trump cards."

They flew through the air discussing semantics; they stopped by a few shops and made their way to a bank.

"Bank of Long."

"Long? As in the Long Family? Am I related to these guys?"

"No, I don't think so. Long is a common last name, many people wish to become Dragons among men so they changed their last name to Long and their descendants inherited it."

"Oh, how disappointing."

"This Banks is good though, it's the biggest bank in Wsc Village."

"Can you say that again?"

"It's the, biggest bank in the village?"

"No, what did you call this village?"

"Wsc Village? It's short for Wright St Claire"

"No blood way!" This was the same exact name as the village he once ruled. There are too many coincidences in this world it was almost scary.

"What is it? Is it that surprising?"

"Ah, no... I just thought the village would have a mundane name but this name is actually pretty cool."

"I guess so..."

They landed on the ground and slowly made their way into the bank.
