Their jaws were shaking, they tried not to make a sound but they couldn't stop themselves from crying. Every bite they took was like eating heaven itself. Tears flowed down from their eyes, even the scar faced old man couldn't help let out a lone tear.

They say hunger is the best flavor and it's true.

The parents of these bees hadn't touched a lick of food in 2 weeks; they gave their share of food to their children and acted like they already ate. They didn't want their children to see them suffering. They bared the pressure and stress by themselves, holding themselves together in order to raise strong children.

For years their hearts had been filled with guilt, unable to provide and support their children. They could only bare it in silence, all the burdens they felt exploded in one swift moment.

The meat that tasted was succulent and delicious; there were no words to describe it. In this world they had experienced very little luxuries so this could be considered the first time experience such nice tasting food. They knew there were certain foods that could strengthen the body and tasted delicious but they had never been privilege to it.

They felt their bodies growing stronger, their aching joints and bones exploding with power. Every bite was like stealing apart of heaven.

In Fuyo's mind, the meat was indeed good but it was only half standard. There were no spices, no flavoring besides the salt but besides that the bees had never tasted anyone as good as this before.

"...." Scarface tried to speak and say his thanks but his mouth didn't know how to express it. The others were the same too; they were equally unable to express their gratitude. Because words just weren't enough!

Fuyo lifted his arm "There is no need to say thank you, because I never fed you for free."

Gulp, they looked at each other exchanging glances. Did he feed them this great food because it would be the last thing they ever eat? Fuyo continued speaking.

"I don't need you to tell me how good the food is, I already know it's good. The reason I called everyone here today is to hire you. When you work for me, you will not receive a wage."

They looked at each other with a bit of fear in their eyes; he is probably a powerful young lord or even worse. A Prince!

He could force them into work and they could do nothing against him. Was this one meal their payment for the rest of their miserable lives? They couldn't help but feel afraid; even though he was a larva he obviously had some powerful backing.

Fuyo let his words mold over in their head, he stopped for 120 seconds before he started talking again. The reason he did this was to let their thoughts run wild and imagine the worst case scenario. Then he would bring them good news blowing away their previous thoughts. It was a good tactic in order to make people listen to you.

You show them the worst case scenario and then show a scenario that's bad but not quite as bad.

"You will not be getting paid, but you and your family will never go hungry again. You will work 8 hours on my farm and then go home afterwards."

"Of course, you are under no obligation to work for me. You can stay right where you are. I never fed you for free; the payment was listening to my speech and now I've been paid. I will be here feeding everyone for the next week; you can give me an answer after you think about it. Feel free to take some meat home with you."

They were speechless, is such a thing real? They didn't care about money, they only needed food so their children can grow big and strong and they wouldn't have to worry about them in the future.

The old man stepped forward "Is what you're saying true? Even for cripples like me that can barely do anything?"

Fuyo nodded his head "It's only available for a person like you, everyone that was negatively affected by the war is eligible to work for me. Including full benefits."

"W..why would you do this?" The old man couldn't believe his ears.

"My mother loved this village with all her heart and soul; unfortunately she died in the very same war that took your leg and eye."

He stopped talking for a moment to build suspense.

"The new lord abandoned you when he took over, he betrayed you and left you to rot and die. I was too young at the time to help the victims but now I'm grown." A tear flowed down from his eye, his acting skills were impeccable.

"I will do what I can and help where I can. If you put your faith in me then I will not betray your feelings."

The old man got down on his knees; it was quite hard because he only had one leg that could bend. "If you would take a humble old man under your wing, you will have my undying loyalty."

"Stand up, neither of us is above one another. We are equals walking the same road."

He helped lift the old man back up to his feet. There was a fire inside the old man's eyes like he had been given hope and a reason to live again.

The days were long and without end, going to sleep hungry only to wake up hungry was the daily cycle. It was a harshness that even an old war veteran could barely handle. His soul had already been broken, but now his heart was alight again.

He saw the way to escape his predicament, even if he had to be a slave he didn't care!

As long as his son grew up healthy and strong then the cycle would end. His grandchildren wouldn't be malnourished and stuck in this never ending cycle of starvation and struggle.

When Fuyo looked around the other parents were also on their knees. He didn't expect them to give him an answer this quick; they must really be suffering through hard times. It was such a pity but he gave them his word.

He would support them and their families as long as they worked hard for him.
