"Who am I? My name is Kala, I already told you this. This girl here is my granddaughter Iris."
Fuyo looked over Kala and Iris; Kala looked like an old sage while Iris was absolutely gorgeous. She looked about 16 years old but her body was well proportioned, good bust, nice butt. She looked kind of kiddy because she was quite short but besides that she was a one of a kind beauty.
Fuyo shook his head and woke himself out of his little daydream. Most men would ogle her endlessly and fawn over her good looks but not Fuyo. He was just a little shocked because she was the first beautiful human bee girl he had seen.
"Be serious, I mean what is your position in society?"
"Well, I'm no one important. Most people call me Grand Master Kala, I'm a world spiritualist." He said it so casually that no one would think he was anyone important but Tuzai's eyes went wide and so did Fuyo's.
Fuyo was just thinking about becoming a world spiritualist not so long ago, only problem is he had no teacher. Amazing enough one had turned up on his front door asking to become his master. It was like pie falling from the sky.
"Okay, let's get started. We shouldn't waste any time and get down to learning straight away." Fuyo was so keen that he hadn't even let the old man get a single word in. He grabbed he stuffed and was already half way out the door.
"Hold on now, you're many times too weak to learn spiritualist techniques. You need to reach the true spirit realm first and also need to open your meridians. Otherwise I won't be able to teach you anything, so until then you are not my personal disciple but a false disciple."
False disciple? That's a person that is under their tutelage but hasn't been made an official disciple yet. The lowest rank are false disciples, the next are the official disciples, core disciples and then finally a legacy disciple.
Some masters would have 9 or 10 core disciples but would only have one legacy disciple. This master was a bit different, he had no official disciples, core disciples or a legacy disciple. He only taught his granddaughter. But it wasn't a master disciple relationship.
When Fuyo heard this he felt depressed, he had been searching for a meridian for a month now but he still had no luck locating one.
The old man noticed his down expression, "Don't worry kid, I have no official disciples or core disciples. You are my first false disciple so you shouldn't worry about it too much."
Fuyo shook his head, "Is there any way you could help me locate my meridians or open them for me?"
The old man nearly coughed when he heard this,
"Look kid, truthfully I don't have that ability. The Lord's family doctor can open four meridians but he only opens the Lord's direct family so you have no chance there either. If you want to unlock your meridians then you have to do it yourself."
Fuyo felt even more depressed, he was once a genius but he couldn't do such a simple thing as opening a meridian?
"I can draw you a map and show you the area where the 64 meridians are located. But don't have too much hope, even I haven't opened all 64 meridians yet and I'm a legendary sage. I'm sure you will figure it out, here you are." He threw a few books to Fuyo.
"What's this old man?" He read the titles, one said body map which he understood straight away. It was the location of the meridians. But the book wasn't much help, Tuzai had already showed him where her 8 meridians were but even then he couldn't locate a single one. The book could help Tuzai though; she might be more talented than him.
The other two books had the titles 'The Unseen World Part 1, Seeing Spirits' and 'The Unseen World Part 2, Spirit Language'.
"Old man? Kid, I'll have you know that I'm barely a few thousand years old. And this book is a beginner's guide to becoming a World Spiritualist. To become my official disciple you need to do three things. Open 4 meridians before your coming of age ceremony, reach the true spirit realm and master everything in these two little books. It shouldn't be too hard right?"
Fuyo nodded his head "Consider it done."
Kala quickly sent a spirit message to Iris.
–This kid has a lot of confidence, but this is an impossible task. I only set such an impossible task to knock him down a peg before taking him in as a disciple. Pressure makes diamonds but it also makes rubble. This will be a true test of willpower, if he can open one meridian and reach the 10th level of qi condensation and learn at least a tenth of that book before his thirteenth birthday I will make him my disciple.—
–Grandfather sure is sneaky—
She nodded her head –If he could open a meridian in that short amount of time and reach the 10th level of qi condensation from the first level then he is indeed a genius—
"As for you girl, you have already met my standards. I will make you an official disciple right now if you are willing to have me as a master."
She clasped hands and said without any hesitation, "Disciple greets Master."
He stroked his beard while nodding his head "Good, good. Decisive and strong, I like it."
"But disciple does have one little issue about this."
"Oh, what's that?"
"I actually wanted to become an alchemist instead, I do find spiritualist techniques interesting but my true goal is be an alchemist."
The old man's eyes lit up "Then that's even better, I'm also teaching my granddaughter the Dao of Alchemy. I'm actually an Alchemist; I only learnt world spiritualist techniques on a whim. This is good, Iris often complains about being alone when she practices now she won't have to be. I don't know how good your alchemic talent is but I'm sure it can't be terrible so we will give it a go."
Iris blushed; she was indeed lonely because she had no friends. No one could keep up with her monstrous talent in alchemy or cultivation. She was an outcast around people her own age because they felt strangled by her overwhelming pressure. The girls hated her because she was just too perfect. The guys felt inferior, they couldn't even approach her. She was beautiful, rich, powerful and talented but unapproachable.
She was an introvert at heart; she would freeze up when she tried to speak to others. People would interpret this as smugness and avoided her.
She had already smashed through the spirit warrior stage at 16 and can maintain her fairy form at all times. She is a true genius!
She chose to stay in her human form; bees don't find the fairy form very appealing so it stopped their incessant stares and ogling eyes.
One could only imagine how strong she would get when she comes of age in 2 years' time.
