"Okay, let's get a spirit credit card then. Just to make sure, the interest is only charged if we spend over the amount we invested right?"
"That's correct, just so you know. A spirit credit card does cost 50 silver, this includes the cost of the soul contract, is that alright?"
Fuyo nodded, "Yes, that's fine."
"How much money would you like to put on your card? I also forgot to mention, there is a 10% deposit fee but there is no fee on withdraws."
"A 10% deposit fee, how expensive!" Fuyo's mouth was wide open. Tuzai chuckled a little bit by his reaction. Regardless of the fee, they needed a card.
"Hehe, well... Little old me gets 5% for receiving you, thank you for your patronage."
"Oh right, what happens if you guys get robbed?"
"If we get robbed? No one would be able to rob a place as heavily guarded as this; it's basically an impenetrable castle. But on the 1 in a 1,000,000 chance that it did happen then you wouldn't have to worry about it at all. The cards are independent; they're not linked to the bank at all."
"That's good news; I guess it's worth it then. Can my friend here use my card? What if someone else gets my card or I lose it and someone else found it?"
"If you lose your card then you lose all the money in it, anyone can use your card so you better keep it close."
"Ah, I see. Tuzai-chan did you want a card as well?"
"Mmm, yes."
"In that case can we get a card each? I'd like to put in 556 morganite spirit stones in each of the cards. After the deposit fee that should leave 500 in there right?"
"F..five hundred morganite spirit stones?" Jasmines face was flush. The Long family paid her 10 gold a year. Which is 2 times the average workers wage, then she made excess money off of her little 5% bonus cut but it would never amount to more than 10 gold a year. 5% of 555 morganite spirit stones is 278 gold.
Not only that but if she convinced them to get a credit card she would receive 10% of their monthly interest. It was like looking for shrimp and finding a whale. It was quite the catch and could potential change her life forever.
Seeing their unwavering faces she knew they were completely serious.
Gulp
"Okay, shall I go get everything sorted?"
"Yes please."
"Great can I just get your names please?" Her voice was a bit shaky, if she completely this deal then it was the same as making 10 years wage in one day. How could she not be excited? These little money bags were obviously someone from powerful families.
"I'm Fuyo Long and my friend here is Tuzai La Morto."
Gulp
"Y..you said your last name is Long?"
Nod
"And your friend's last name is La Morto?"
Nod
Gulp
"Your last name, where is it from?"
"Hmm, I'm not sure. I've never met my father but it is my father's family name."
"Oh I see, well then. I'll go get those papers sorted."
Jasmine walked off and made her way around the back to grab two soul contracts and two spirit cards.
"Is it just me or did she look slightly afraid?"
"It's not just you, I noticed it too. She must think I'm some noble from the Dragon Empire, anyone would make that guess when we bring this much money in to deposit. One thing I don't understand though, she was clearly afraid when she heard your last name. Do you know why?"
She shook her head, "No, I have no idea. My father is quite the domineering person, maybe he's threatened her before and that's why she's scared witless."
Fuyo nodded his head in agreement; Uncle Don sure had a frightening appearance and atmosphere.
Jasmine returned a moment later with the terms of the contract written out. Fuyo reviewed the terms and conditions, everything was exactly as she said. They dropped some blood on the contract and did the oath.
"I, Fuyo Long agree to the terms of the contract."
"I, Tuzai La Morto agree to the terms of the contract."
Before their eyes they saw the paper burn and turn into chains, the chains coiled and then shot through their chest. It didn't hurt when the chains cut through their skin. In fact they didn't feel it at all, but they knew the chains were now wound around their hearts and would never break.
"Here are your two cards, these are platinum level cards. The color itself doesn't mean anything but it will give you access to platinum only areas. There are none here in Wsc village but there are a few in the Bee Country royal capital and also a few in some bigger villages. If you ever visit the Dragon Empire you will also find some there also."
"You have to visit a Long family bank personally if you want to deposit more money but you can use these cards with other people and top them up that way. Here, I'll show."
She withdrew two separate cards, each one was a blank color. One was Gold and the other was Silver. She wrote on the gold card with her finger, she wrote the letters B A L and a second later some words appeared.
"20 Gold"
She then wrote B A L on the silver card but the balance said "No Silver"
"These two cards are my own; I use them for demonstration purposes. By writing B A L on the card you can make it show your balance like I just did. Now watch this."
She wrote the word 1 G on the gold card and then pressed it on top of the silver card.
On the silver card appeared the words +100 Silver.
She then wrote Bal on her gold card again and it said: 19 Gold
"It's that simple."
