They continued to hand out food to the kids, the kids were ecstatic and there were many tears shed. Some of their parents turned up and almost broke down when their stomachs were full for the first time in many long years.

Word spread and the crowd grew over time. Soon a giant crowd of 5,000 people were gathered and eating like feral cats. Fuyo was surprised by how many people were stuck in the fairy realm. More than 200 of the adults were stuck in the fairy realm with their cultivation completely crippled or their meridians broken.

By talking to them he found out it wasn't a cultivation accident but happened during the Great War. They overused their energy, when they tried to summon energy from their empty dantians it only served to blow their veins apart and cripple their meridians.

500 of these adult bees were simply normal bees and never had cultivation to begin with, but they were still disabled in certain ways from the war fallout. Some of them were in the fields when the blood demon bees attacked.

Fuyo found out that 350k spirit bees were crippled during the war and were living in the same conditions they were. The upper echelons don't care about them; even the citizens they helped protect turned a blind eye and abandoned them.

Out of those 350k bees more than 150k starved to death. Including their families that ended up starving to death following their demise, the death count was higher than 800k.

Out of the 200k remaining more than 50k committed suicide. 100k died trying to gather nectar and another 40k worked themselves to death. A lot of their families' followed in their footsteps bringing the total death toll to more than 1.5 million.

This sounds like a fast process but actually took place over the last 13 years.

Only 10,000 remained.

These 10,000 were the true survivors. Out of those 10,000 survivors, 1,000 had turned up tonight.

Fuyo thought it was a good feeling, Fuyo felt good helping the needy but he knew he couldn't save the world. This was only temporary satisfaction. The 10 tons of meat slowly wilted down until there was only 2 pieces left.

Fuyo and Tuzai had yet to eat; they were so busy they forgot. Despite the only reason for them cooking meat was to feed themselves. Everyone had been fed and they each took some meat back home, enough for a hearty breakfast and lunch.

Fuyo gave his speech again and hundreds of bees bent their knee.

He now had a work force of 1,000 adult bees. There were 4,000 kids there too, Fuyo was sure he could find something for them to do.

They pulled out the last two pieces and started cooking them. "It's amazing we cooked all of it in one day."

At this time an old man and a small child approached them. The old man wore a long cloak and was very frail. The child ever more so, she was coughing and he held her in his arms. He was not a bee but it seems like he was stuck in fairy form. Not only him but the little girl was also in fairy form.

Tuzai and Fuyo twitched their eyes when they saw this scene. Everyone had gone home and they were down to the last bit of meat they had left. They really hoped the old guy would walk past them so they wouldn't have to feed him and get to finally have some meat themselves.

But he walked right up to them, right when they were just about to pop the meat in their mouth.

"K..kind sir, we haven't eaten in 2 weeks. The street tells tales of you feeding the poor. Is this true?"

Fuyo shook his head "No..."

"So he's not going to share the last bit of meat? I should've expected as much." The old man thought to himself.

"Ah, I see." The old turned around with the girl in his arms and started to walk away.

Fuyo saw them leaving and felt bad.

"Wait, old man! I never said we wouldn't feed you. I said we do not feed the poor. We feed the ones that were abandoned by the new lord, but not for free. They pledged to work for us."

"What sort of work?" The old man turned back around.

"8 hours a day working on a farm, you will not get paid in money but we will supply food for you and your family."

The old man looked at him and said "I will not work for you but can I have food anyway."

Fuyo's eye twitched.

–This is our last bit of meat, if we give it to them then we will starve.—

Fuyo looked over to Tuzai in shock. "What was that?" he thought to himself. "Am I just hearing things?"

–This is a mental message, don't be too shocked. Anyone in the true realm can condense their true qi and send a message along it.—

"Oh, how interesting." He thought to himself. "Can she hear my thoughts too?"

"Tuzai smells like Chewbacca's pubes."

"No response? Then she can't hear my thoughts." Fuyo nodded to himself as he pieced it together.

–I think we should give it to him, don't ask me why. Call it intuition—

"Alright then, if you say so."

"Fine old man, if that's the way it is then I won't force you. We will be here all week, feel free to come by again." The old man nodded his head, took the food and then left. He didn't stay to eat it there and didn't say thank you, he just left.

"There's something strange about that old man."

Tuzai nodded also "Something about him feels familiar but I don't know what, oh well. There are some herbs in the bag of holding. Shall we have some herb soup when we get home?"

"Well, we don't have much of a choice now do we?" Fuyo felt a bit dejected, he was really looking forward to eating some meat but he wouldn't let it get him down for long.

They jumped on Kira "Let's go home, gama, pumba, andale!"
