Asa POV
What the hell is wrong with me. I should have been looking for Faye and Vera instead of laying here drunk. James is at my house now and he looks vulnerable. So vulnerable and I did a horrible decision last night. I have to, no need to find her. James and I exchange and long look and it's as if we both read each other's minds, The next second I'm grabbing my car keys and we are both out the door. We are heading towards campus when I abruptly stop the car."Wow, man." James says and he grabs the dashboard to keep from hitting his head. I get out of the car and run towards what I'm sure is hers, her bracelet. then I see an indentation in the dirt that looks like a tire and James is on the ground inspecting it.
"They went that way" James says, pointing North. I nod and we both head that way. Faces determined. We pass a ston road leading into a field.
"Wait. Let's go down here." James points it out. I drive towards it and we enter the field. I give him a nervous glance and realize his hands are in fists. Ready to fight, to fight for Vera.
Faye's POV
It was dark in the room we were in. Vera hasn't stopped crying since morning and just when I'm about to give up I realize something. Vera has on heels and there's a window right across from us. It's a little high up so I can just stand on her whilst I break it open. None of our kidnappers have checked on us in a while so I think it's okay. I get her up and she asks me what wrong.
"I have a plan." I whisper.
