Faye POV

I hate thinking about it. My parents called me and asked if I was alright and I said I was fine but they were still making me come down to their house just so they can be sure. I am getting a few weeks off college and am staying with Asa until my plane ride to my house. I like him a lot but I feel like such a burden. My eyes soon shut and I fall asleep on the couch, finally.

I wake up with Asa shaking me awake, I am twisted in the blanket and my neck and arms and legs are slick with sweat. My hair is a mess and my voice hurts from screaming. I was having a nightmare again. I haven't had a full night's sleep ever since I was kidnapped. I slowly open my eyes again and lean into Asa.

"Can you get me water?" I ask. He nods and slowly gets up. He returns with a bottle of water and I drink almost half.

"Are you going to be alright?" he asks. His voice is raspy from just waking up and his eyes dark because he isn't fully awake.

"Can I stay with you? I-I-I'm really scared." I say. I hold my breath and feel my face heat up even more than it already is.

"Of course." he says and helps me up. We get to his room and I slip under the covers. He climbs in with me and wraps his arm around me and pulls me to him.

"You'll be alright. I'm right here. You'll be safe." he whispers. I sigh and lean into him. Our legs intertwine and I feel better than safe. I slowly fall asleep after I hear his light snores.
