Asa POV
The faint noise of bells was outside. It was cold in this room, but not too cold. Everything was white in the hospital. Every now and then a splash of green or maybe red or blue. I watch Faye on the bed. Her IV giving her fluids she desperately needed. Apparently her kidnappers had drugged her so much she could've lost her eyesight if we hadn't gotten her here early enough. Slowly her eyelids started to flutter and she yawned. She opened her eyes but didnt move her body.
"Hey." I said.
"Hi. Um am I at the hospital?" she slowly asked. I nodded.
"Yeah. Don't worry you'll come to my place by tonight. At the latest, tomorrow."she nods and slowly falls back asleep. I sigh.
A few hours later after all the police have finished asking her questions they leave and Faye changes and gets ready to leave. It was a few days until New Years and I wanted to surprise her with something great.
I carry her into my house because she is still asleep. As I set her down on the couch I turn on the television and put on some dress show that she likes. I grab a pot of water and have it boil so I can maker her some tea as well. And lastly I fetch a blanket from my closet and drape it over her.
Her eyelids start to flutter and she slowly gets up. I put her mug in front of her and she hesitantly takes a sip. She smiles when she sees what show I put on for her.
"Well well well Asa, you sure know how to make a girl happy." she giggles. I smile and kiss her forehead.
"I was so worried. Are you alright?" I ask.
"Yeah I'm fine I'm just so tired." she whispers.
"Yeah they out you under a lot of drugs. They didn't do anything to you right?" I brace myself.
"No they didn't touch me. I was asleep most of the time because of the drugs."
"Okay good." I smile but anger is slowly blooming inside of me because of them. I will make everything right again. I will make them pay. Whatever the consequences.
