After explaining it to her we both got up somehow with our last reserves of energy and as I stood on her back I saw the tiniest crack on the window on it already so I slammed the heel onto it. The crack got wider so I threw the heel on it again and the window finally shattered. I took off my sweater and laid it on the glass so we wouldn't get hurt. I helped Vera out first then she helped me up and out. I stepped onto the cold Earth and we heard the distant sounds of cars and traffic. A highway possibly? And we both started running that way.
"I can't- my head it and-" Vera tries to tell me when we hear a roar of a car and we both stumble to get in the safety of the trees and hide. Vera is struggling to catch her breath and I peer through a bush to see a familiar car.
"What" I whisper. Suddenly James gets out and starts kicking a tree and finally breaks down and cries. Asa gets out to comfort him.
"Asa, Asa.." I can barely scream. I get up and try running towards them but I can't.
"ASA" My voice is barely a yell but it's enough.
"FAYE!!" He runs towards me and scoops me up. His face is shining with relief. James comes over with tears down his face and in his eyes are hope.
"Vera in the bushes, she needs..hospital." then everything turns silent because I fall asleep finally because I am safe. Safe I am safe.
