Nagisa looked at Asano besides her.

When he noticed this, he smiled at her, "What's wrong?" Nagisa shaked her head and smiled, "Nothing."

After a moment of silence, Nagisa decided to ask him what has been bothering her, "By the way, Asano-kun? If I told you that I somehow lost my sketchbook, what would you do?"

He replied, "You lost your sketchbook?"

She nodded shamefully, "Yeah."

"...I see. Well, we can find it together later." He smiled.

She smiled back, relieved to hear that. She thought he would get angry, but he didn't.

"...How did I even lose it? I'm sure it was on the end table. I'll think about it more later." Nagisa thought.

Asano rested his head on his hand, "You look so worried."

"Well, of course. You gave me it, after all. I wouldn't want to lose something so important." Nagisa replied, looking at him.

"Yeah."

She smiled at him. Sometimes, she just wishes these moments would last forever...

"I... want to tell him my feelings."

"Asano-kun." Nagisa started.

"Hm?" He hummed in response, looking curious for an answer.

"Y-you see..." She paused.

Asano smirked ever so slightly, "Yes, that's right... Say it..."

"I actually l-" "Don't listen to him, Nagisa." Someone cut her off.

She looked over to the door and saw the red-haired boy from a few days ago, Karma.

He walked closer to her. Nagisa was on her guard.

He took her hand in his, "Don't listen to him." He repeated. Nagisa thought, "I wanted to let go of his grip, but for some reason, my hand wouldn't move... No..."

"I didn't want to move..."

"His touch, the way he speaks... Why does it all seem so familiar? It's so... comforting."

Suddenly, Asano-kun took Nagisa's hand and pulled it, "What are you doing here, may I ask?"

"I'm here to claim what's mine." Karma smirked.

"Oh? How is that even possible if she doesn't even know you? Right, Nagisa?" He turned to Nagisa, smiling.

"..." She stayed silent, looking at Karma.

"Nagisa?" Asano asked again.

She snapped out of her thoughts, "H-huh? I..."

Karma smiled, "Fight it, Nagisa..."

Nagisa wanted to say no, she didn't know him, but something prevented her from doing so. It didn't feel right to say "no" for some reason. And so, she stayed quiet.

"Anyway," Asano started. "I think you should go now." He turned back to Karma.

"Huh? But... don't you think it's a bit unfair~?" Karma said in a sing-song tone.

Asano smirked, "What would you be talking about?"

Karma answered, "I mean... You going all-out and hypnotizing her to make her forget about me and stuff..."

Nagisa, who was already confused before, became even more confused now. "Hypnotize... What is he talking about...?"

Asano replied, "I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. Hypnotize? Sounds like something coming out of a bad fanfiction."

Karma turned over to Nagisa, "Don't you remember, Nagisa? How we used to eat under a tree, walk home together after school..."

"Eh?" Nagisa replied. "Those are all the things me and Asano-kun did..."

"Don't fall for what this idiot is saying. It's absurd."

"What... I-I'm confused..." Nagisa thought in her head, still trying to comprehend what's going on.

A red-haired boy that approached her and said that she had been hypnotized by someone. And that someone happened to be her best friend that she likes. And now both boys are saying not to believe the other.

Which leaves the choice to Nagisa.

Well, the answer should be clear. Of course she would choose to believe her best friend over some stranger who attempted to punch him the other day.

...But she wasn't sure.

The red-haired boy seemed all too familiar to her. His hand, his voice, his tone of speaking, the way he gazes into her eyes... All of it.

"Um... I'm a bit confused..." She said, even though she already imagined the situation in her mind.

She looked down, "I... don't really know what's happening, but..." She paused.

She looked up and said, "Please... give me more time."

That's 20 days without an update for this book. *Gets down on knees and bows* I am extremely sorry!! School has been really busy for me...
