Karma's POVI ran as fast as my legs could take me. Even though I'm at my fastest speed, I still want to run faster.
Koro-sensei and the rest will take care of Asano.
At this moment, I just wanted to see Nagisa.
I ran to the hospital. I took the elevator up, impatient of waiting any further.
Arriving at my floor, I ran to Nagisa's room, ignoring the nurses and doctors who were telling me not to run.
Sliding the door open, I saw the blue haired girl sitting on her bed.
"Nagisa..." I said in between pants.
She looked at me with dull eyes. "You again?"
I walked to her bed, and sat beside her.
"You're not the one I'm waiting for. Please don't waste my time."
Her words pierced me in my heart. The way she was speaking was harsh. It didn't feel right at all.
The Nagisa I know wouldn't say such things. That's right, this isn't the real Nagisa. This is just the shell of who she once were, created by Asano.
I smiled, "How rude, Nagisa... I ran all the way here for you and this is how you react? I'm hurt!"
"How am I supposed to react? I don't know who you are." She replied in a dead tone voice.
"But do you?" I said to her.
Even though the chances are slim, I still believe she can remember. So I just have to keep believing.
"No, I don't."
But I guess it'll take more than believing, huh?
"The Nagisa I know would've gotten worried. She would get worried because I ran all the way here, coming in the room panting." I started.
"..."
"The Nagisa I know would've asked what I was doing and gave me some water."
I smiled, "Then she'll smile at me and tell me not to do it again because she doesn't want me to get troubled."
I looked at her, "Where's that Nagisa now?"
She looked at me, "I have no idea what you're talking about. I've always been like this."
"No, you've been like this since Asano visited you. What's so good about that guy anyway?" I asked her, secretly curious on what she thinks of me.
"Asano-kun is..." She paused. "He's really kind and caring. I can tell he cares a lot about me."
She continued, "Even though he gets into trouble sometimes, it's always for a good reason."
Then she slowly smiled. The first time I've seen her smiled since she became like this.
A tint of pink appeared on her cheeks, "All of that made me fall in love with him." Her eyes brightened a little.
I blushed. Nagisa... likes me? She really thinks all of that about me?
Just thinking about it makes myself have butterflies in my stomach. I was extremely happy about it, but of course I couldn't show it.
"That sounds like someone really familiar to me." I said.
Then her eyes became dull again. "Anyway, you should leave now. I'm gonna call the nurse on you..."
Nagisa's POV
He suddenly grabbed my hand.
This familiar warm feeling filled my mind once again. It was really comforting for some reason...
"Is it really Asano you love?" He asked.
"Of course..." I replied. I wanted him to let go, but at the same time I don't.
"Come back, Nagisa. Remember."
I became confused, "...What are you talking about?"
"You're under his spell. Break free, and remember again." He spoke with a serious tone in his voice.
"...I don't believe you."
The grip on my hand became tighter. "Remember me, Nagisa."
"I... I don't know you... You don't look familiar at all..." I replied. "Y-you should go now, or else I'm really gonna call the nurses..."
"Then does this look familiar?"
He showed me a... sketchbook. My sketchbook.
"Wha... How do you have this? I thought I lost it!" I took it from him.
I opened it. And sure enough, my drawings are still there. I had already filled up half of it.
Then I came to the last drawing I drew.
It was...
...
It showed a drawing of me sitting on my hospital bed smiling, and a red-headed boy next sitting beside me. He also wore a smile on his face.
I'm pretty sure the girl is me, and the red-headed boy is... this fellow right here.
We looked liked we were having fun.
The drawing was extremely detailed. The colors all blended together, creating a beautiful drawing.
"I... drew this...?" I asked in a low voice.
"Yup." He said. "And I don't think any drawing will top that off..."
I turned to him.
He smiled brightly, "Right, Nagisa?"
Then... It happened.
The memories in my head... The ones that were me and Asano-kun... Turned into me and...
Karma-kun.
My hands became shaky. A little bit of tears formed in the corner of my eyes as I looked at him.
"Karma... -kun..."
He pulled my hand and wrapped his arms around me, engulfing me with warmth.
"I'm so glad..." He said.
I hugged him back, letting the warm tears in my eyes fall. "I'm... I'm sorry, Karma-kun..."
He looked at me and smiled, "Don't apologize, Nagisa. It's not your fault."
"I-it's not yours, either... So don't worry about it..."
I smiled at him.
"You know..." I started. "Maybe it's not so bad that all of this happened."
He looked at me with a confused look, "Why's that?"
I blushed, "Because I get to fall in love with you all over again."
He blushed too, but I could tell he was happy.
He hugged me again, except this time even tighter.
"I love you..."
