Your POV

I hate Alesa so much right now. You think ordering something to eat. As you wait for your food Alesa sneaks up behind you and jumps on your back. You scream out loud and everyone around you turns to look at the both of you.

Alesa laughs as you shove her off your shoulders. "Alesa stop we're in public right now," You scold her. She laughs again as you pick up your burger and sit down. You undo the foil wrapping and chow down on your burger.

Max and Ross come to the table your sitting at laughing their heads off. You scoff and continue to eat. Men, they're all idiots You think still eating. "Ross you're so stupid," Max says laughing then wincing in pain and gripping his side.

You laugh at Max and he stares at you. "What still hurts don't be a girl," You tell him. Ross glares at you and the two sit down each has a bag of food in their hands. Alesa comes up with a goofy smile on her face and sits down eating some of your fries.

You slap her hand away but she eats the fries she has already taken with a happy smile. You stop eating and put down your burger. "Okay, what's got you so happy. You're so cheery I'm gonna puke," You tell her.

She looks at you and rolls her eyes playfully. "Well, what's got you in a bad mood. Not two minutes ago you and I were laughing about you taking the night shift," She tells you. Now it was your turn to roll your eyes.

"Two minutes ago I wasn't forced to eat lunch with other people," You say finally eating again. She playfully punches you and you notice Ross carefully studying you. You make a quick reminder to watch him more carefully.

You may hate Max but Ross is totally different. There's something about Ross that throws you off your game. But you can't put your finger on it.

"So what are you planning on doing this weekend (Y/N)," Alesa voice thrusting you out of your thoughts. You glance are her and she's waiting for an answer.

"I don't plan on doing anything Alesa so don't make any plans for me," you tell her rather forcefully. Alesa pouts and grips your shoulder. "Come on (Y/N) I wanted you to meet Adam this weekend," she said.

You look at her surprise in your eyes. "Wait you're serious," you say demanding for an answer. She nods her head and you crush in a hug. "Okay I'll meet Adam this weekend," you say your mood lightening.

She smiled and looks at the two guys sitting across from you. "So what are you guys doing," Alesa asks. They look at each other and just shrug. "Nothing much really probably just gonna record some videos and hang out," Max says.

Sucks to be them I'm gonna have a nice time meeting Adam You think. A smile creeps onto your face while Alesa chats. "Well since you guys aren't doing anything you should hang out with me, Adam, and (Y/N)," Alesa asks.

Your smile goes away as you realize what Alesa asked. You stare at her while the two boys agree. "Yeah sure Alesa we'll be there," they agree. No no Max and Ross can't be there it was just going to be me, Adam, and Alesa.

You pull out your phone and think. Your brain clicks an idea as you pretend to read a text. Everyone laughs as you look up from your phone sadness playing on your face.

"Alesa I just got a text from the boss I can't meet and this weekend he wants me to take a weekend shift," you say sadly but smiling on the inside. Alesa frowns and gives you a hug.

"It was going to be nice though," she says. You look at her solemnly and nod your head. "I know Alesa I'm sorry but I need the money," you say feigning worry.

She pouts and checks her watch. "Hey I gotta go see you guys later," Alesa says standing up and you give her a hug goodbye. As she walks off you stand up too.

"Yeah I think it's time for me to head home I have some stuff I need to do," you say grabbing your purse and heading toward the exit. Before you can go a hand grips your arm. You turn your head and see Max holding on to you.

You stare into his secret-filled eyes and wonder what his secret is. "(Y/N) you don't like me much do you," Max says. You jerk your arm back and turn and walk away. As you walk away from them you can't help but wonder what's going on in Max's head.

Ross' POV

Something's up with her and I'm gonna find out what. Max turns back to me and his eyes are filled with curiosity. I look at him and my expression worries. "Oh no Max what are you planning," I ask him not prepared for his "plan."

He looks at me and his smile widens. "I think we should pay a little visit to (Y/N) at her shift this weekend," He tells me. I look at him then shake my head. "Max that's a terrible idea. Did you forget that she killed two people," I reminded him.

Max opens his mouth to say something then stops himself. "Look, Ross, I'm sorry but something is up with her I can feel it," He tells me. I glare at him as hard as (Y/N) did then something clicked in my brain.

"Max why is this such a big deal to you she absolutely hates you. She dropped you off without even proper treatment the other night.," I try to reason with him. Max only looks down and when he glances back up he has thrown me a full dazzling smile intended for (Y/N).

"Ross how could anyone resist this," He says. I feel a blush creeping up on my face then pinch myself to stop. I sigh knowing Max won't stop. "Fine I'll help you but you're going about this the wrong way. She obviously doesn't like you or me so we're going to need someone who can get on her good side," I tell him.

He looks at me confused as I open my phone and search for the contact. I turn the phone screen to him and show him who I mean. "You're insane," He says. I shrugg and give him a confident smile.

"I'ts the best plan we got," I say as I click the call button.
