Your POV

About an hour after you had a talk with London the sky was starting to look as if it was getting dark. You look on the desk in the room you were staying in and the clock read 4:57 PM. Wow, the time moves by so quick but it still feels so early.

I guess we are in a different time zone in Texas then back in Washington. You check your phone to see if you got any new messages and you see you have a couple from Jess.

Jess: (Y/N) When are you gonna get back. Ross told me a little bit as to why your guys are there but I'm still worried.

Jess: Hey have you gotten any of my messages?

You feel bad not answering Jess' messages sooner even though you had a great time talking with everyone. You open your phone to type a message back telling her you're sorry for not texting sooner but your phone dings and you get a message from Alesa.

Alesa: Hey (Y/N) Jess is worried about you and everyone else and really wants to know what's going on if you get my message can you please text her?

Oh my god, I completely forgot about Alesa! Wow. What a good friend I am we work together and I completely forgot. You feel bad and immediately text back.

You: Sorry Alesa I've been caught up in some stuff back here in Texas and I haven't checked my phone all day. :( Sorry

Alesa texts back as soon as you send the message.

Alesa: It's okay (Y/N) some stuff has been going down here too and it's probably good you don't get caught up in the middle of it.

You: Okay Alesa when we get back you can tell me what happened. Also, don't worry I'll text Jess back as soon as I can.

Alesa: Okay! I'll see you soon then

You: See you soon !!

After you finish your conversation with Alesa in a few taps you start texting Jess.

You: Hey Jess sorry I haven't texted you I've been dealing with the situation here, but I've also had the chance to catch up with an old friend. So that's good.

Jess: OMG (Y/N) You haven't texted back in forever I was starting to get worried something bad happened to you.

You: Don't worry Jess I promise nothing bad has happened to me. Max on the other hand...

Jess: What happened to Max!!

You: Kyle took him so we had to come to Texas to save him. Everything is fine now and Kyle is in jail. I'll give you more details when we get back.

You: I promise.

Jess: Okay (Y/N) I trust you but I want you to get back as soon as possible okay.

You smile as you get that text and text her back.

You: Okay Jess We'll be back soon.

Jess: You better because when you do I'm gonna kick you guys in the butt.

You: :p

Jess: Whatever just come back safe.

You: We will I promise.

You shut off your phone and place it on the desk. You walk out and step into the hallway. The silence from before sets in as everything seems perfectly still. That is until you hear a thump come from the study. Using the door to the second-floor study you open it and walk inside.
