"Honey just try to make the best of it." My mom comforted but nothing was going to take the anger away right now. We were currently sitting in airport lobby waiting for my stupid plane to start boarding to send me to my fathers.
"I can't make the best of it mom. He's had seventeen years to visit me. He's had seventeen years to be a father and he hasn't. Why am I being punished?"
"Sweetheart I think you're being a bit melodramatic. When you're 18 you can leave baby. But for right now, you're going to get on that plane and go spend time with your father. End of discussion." And as my mom said, that was the end of the discussion. When my mom had told me about the news of my father, I hadn't spoke to her for weeks, and right now as the intercom announced my plane to be boarding, I regretted it. I loved my mom. And in no way possible was this her fault. I hugged her tight and let my body cling to hers as if id never see her again.
"I'm gonna miss you mom." I muttered in her shoulder.
"I'll miss you too honey. But it's not so long away. Next time I see you you're gonna be 18, I won't have my baby around anymore." A tear slid from her eye and she hurriedly wiped it away. I kissed her cheek one more time before exchanging "I love you's" and hopping on my plane. My dad may make me come but every second he makes me stay will be pure hell for him.
Just thinking about him leaving my mom and me makes me hate him. She was a women who was head over heels for him and I was an innocent baby who tore their relationship apart. If he didn't want kids at that time then he should've wore some damn protection. But now that im almost an adult he wants me? I was his then too. Pushing every thought of mine away I decided to sleep until the plane landed which wouldn't be long.
If I thought I was anxious on the plane, I defiantly needed some anxiety pills now. I was sitting in the airport lobby with my headphones shoved in my ears and everyone moving around quickly to find their
ride. The man was even late. He was suppose to be here at 5:00 precisely, but no. He's already fifteen minutes late. If you ask me, he's pushing his limits.
I felt a light tap on my shoulder alarming me someone was there. I quickly turned around and found myself staring at a handsome dark haired man with green eyes. I was in complete awe. To say this man was handsome was an understatement, he was completely beautiful.
Realizing I was staring, I ripped my headphones out of my ears and shoved my finger in his chest.
"Listen I'm being forced to be here with you. It isn't my choice and I'm not happy about it. So I have a few rules. First, do not touch me." I said referring to his tapping on my shoulder. "Second, when we get there I don't want anyone in my room. I'm sure you have others living with you. And third, do not act like you love me or anything like that. This is strictly till I'm eighteen only. Then well never see each other again. Think of it like us being one time acquaintances." I finished, actually proud of my sternness.
"Woah there, calm down princess. I'm not your dad. I'm his best friend, I'm just suppose to pick you up. He's getting things prepared at the house." The beautiful man finished and I felt slightly embarrassed.
"Oh well, I apologize. I knew you were too good looking to be my father." I spoke and he chuckled.
"Oddly enough, I've never heard that before." He kept laughing as he held out his hand for me to shake. "I'm Michael."
"Andrea, but please call me Andy. I'm not too fond of the name." I spoke clearly shaking his hand.
"Andrea's a beautiful name. Just like you Andy." He said releasing my hand and grabbing my bags as I realized he just called me beautiful. My face flushed as I grabbed my purse and phone while walking with Michael towards the huge glass doors. He put my luggage in the trunk and opened my door for me as I hopped in. Now his momma knew how to raise him right.
