Chapter 23 -weve made a mistake

Andy's Pov.

"I like the light better than the dark." I said positive.

"Are you sure? Cause we can look at more carpet if you want." Michael questioned me and I nodded. My ankles were killing me and my back felt like it weighed a ton.

"Alright let me tell the man and I'll put the order in." He said and I walked towards the bench in the office and sat down. Finally relieved to be off my feet.

"What baby mommas tired after all?" Lynnette teased and I scoffed.

"Please, when you're pregnant let me know how you feel." I laughed but it soon faded when I saw her fallen face. "What's wrong?" I asked and patted the spot next to me, which she didn't hesitate to take.

"Do you remember KC?" Her eyes scanned mine for any remembrance but I couldn't put my finger on it. "We dated at the beginning of our senior year." Then my face lit up.

KC Rockwall.

He was the handsome sort but a complete douche. His hair was a darkish brown and his eyes were crystal blue. He was tall and built but not too much to where he looked like he was off of 'toughest men'. He was a football player, got a full scholarship to The University of Missouri. Nobody had seen him since he left.

"Yeah I remember. Why?" I questioned and her face fell dramatically.

"Well I saw him in town a little bit before I came up here with you and Michael. And we had dinner and caught up." Then she looked at me in a sort of can I continue look. Once she got the reassurance she looked at her joined hands again. "We hooked up. We went back to my house and had sex. And then after when I asked about seeing him again he said it wasn't possible." She sobbed now and I could tell she was hurting but I could only hold her tighter. "He's married and had two sons back in Missouri. " I shook my head and let her sink her head into my now soaked shoulder.

I didn't know what to do in this situation. KC had hurt her bad before. Her and him went going to homecoming together and she had their whole night planned. She described it as the perfect night. They went to dinner after the game and ended up making love that night.

She gave him her virginity.

Then he became more and more distant through the next few days and he called it over two days before her eighteenth birthday.

"I'm pregnant Andy. I don't know how you handle this cause I can't."

I gasped lightly and she looked up to my shocked face.

"What?" I asked. "How far along?"

"You're five months right?" She asked and I nodded. "Well about two I guess." She said and slumped down. Finally her tears were disappearing.

"Do you wanna come live with us?" I asked. She needed assurance and help. Me and Michael could provide that for her.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah." I said thinking It over. "We've got plenty of guest rooms and you can just pick one and we'll make a nursery for rikki and little Lynny." I smiled and she sighed then enveloped me in a hug.

"You're the best Andy." She whispered and I hugged her closer.

"she's pregnant and just needs me Michael." I said the sentence again as he looked at me. My heart beat rose quickly as I waited for his answer but he took his time before busting out laughing.

"Did you really think id say no?" He laughed and kissed my forehead. "Of course, I don't mind."

"I made an appointment for me and you today with my doctor. Michael should be here in a few minutes from work and we'll go see about little one and two." I laughed walked to the couch to grab my purse.

Lynnette's been worried all morning about the baby. You can practically smell worrysome in house when you walk in.

"Hey it'll be alright Lynny." I smiled and we heard the front door open.

"You two ladies ready?" Michael asked and kissed my cheek. His hands snaked around my waist from behind and I relaxed into him.

"She's a little nervous."

"Hey don't worry. I nearly shit myself my first doctors appointment but it turned out fine." Michael said proudly and it even caused me an Lynnette to laugh out loud.

"Alright let's go."

Michaels pov.

"Mr. & mrs. Lawson?" I heard our names called out and we turned our head to the nurse.

"Dr. Alvarez will see you now." She smiled and waited patiently by the door.

"Everything will be okay. I'll go into your room as soon as were done okay?" Andy said patting Lynnette leg as she nodded and we walked towards the nurse.

"It's great to see you again Andy. How are you feeling today?" The nurse, angela, I think asked.

"Pretty good. I guess." She laughed and the nurse set the scale to weigh Andy.

"That's great. Step up here and well get your weight."

As directed, Andy stepped on the scale and we watched the numbers change a few seconds then stop.

"Oh my gosh. You're gonna be a big one Huh?" She giggled holding her tummy.

The nurse just smiled and we all sat down in the room. She fiddled around with some stuff before putting a thermometer in Andy's mouth and the thing that checks your pulse on her finger. Then pulled out the thing to check her blood pressure.

"No fever. And your pulse and blood pressure all look fine. Give her a few minutes and the doctor will be in to take your ultrasound." She smile and slipped out the door.

"I hope lynnys baby is a girl too." Andy said smiling at her tummy.

"Why?" I asked with a grin on my face that went ear to ear. It's impossible not to have one with Andy around. She just has this amazing personality and essence about her that makes you wanna explode from happiness.

"Then rikki will have her first best friend." She giggled.

"Knock knock." Juliet's voice came from the door and we turned towards her. "Good morning."

"Morning." Andy and I said in unison.

"Well hello. How is the clinics favorite mommy doing this morning?"

"Pretty good. Ready to see about my little one." Andy laughed and Juliet nodded.

We went through the same routine as always.

But something different happened this time.

"Oh my goodness." Juliet laughed and caused me and Andy to look at her.

"Sometimes in the early months of a pregnancy, machines can give off a false reading of the sex of the baby. And I hate to burst anyone's bubble here, but you two are having a healthy baby boy."
