"Aww chandler." I giggled as his slobber dropped down his chin and he cooed.
I've took at least 300 pictures since chandler was born about a week ago. 300 photos in a week.
His teenage years are gonna be hell when he brings girls home.
I rocked him in the rocking chair since it was time for his nap and waited patiently for Michael to come home from work.
When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well, there's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?
I sung quietly to chandler watched his eyes close slowly.
Well, I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up
And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find
'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up
He was breathing gently and he was fast asleep. Silently, I stood up with chandler in my arms and walked up stairs.
"Please don't wake up. Please don't wake up." I prayed in my head and laid him down in his crib.
Once I finally made it down the stairs and to the couch, my body collapsed onto the soft cushions.
"Relaxation." I sighed and pulled my throwover around my body.
"Andy, I'm back." Lynnette said walking through the door quietly.
She understands how exhausted i am. I haven't got a full night of sleep since the night at the hospital.
"Thanks for running to the store for me Lynny. I've just been so busy." I muttered with my eyes still closed.
"It's no problem. Rest babe." She spoke and walked into the kitchen putting everything up.
•••
"Baby." Michael voice peeped in.
"Mhmmm. Leave me alone." I muttered and hid myself in the cushion.
"No baby. Chandlers hungry." And that was enough to make me pop up. I groggily rubbed my eyes and picked him up while he cooed.
"Aww you're hungry" I said sitting down and feeding him.
"You look beautiful baby." Michael walked through the door.
"Shut up." I laughed and leaned up to kiss him.
"I love you."
"I love you more." I looked into his loving eyes and stuck my tongue out at him.
"Mmmhnm. Not possible. But I was thinking, my moms pretty excited about our trip, wanna bump it to tommorrow? I mean, tomorrow's Friday, we could stay a couple days, then come home and relax."
I thought about it for a minute, I was exhausted, I have been exhausted. But I wanted to see his parents. I wanted them to like me, to think I was good enough for him. For their son.
"Of course baby." I kissed him and got up to walk to the kitchen.
Michael could watch chandler while I cooked dinner. Or maybe we could just order in.
Yeah, pizza night.
