"Mom!" I shouted from across the airport waiting area. My moms long dark hair swung around and her brown eyes came in contact with mine. I ran to her and enveloped her in a huge hug feeling bad that I left Michael standing awkwardly behind me.

"Oh baby." She whispered hugging my back. I pulled back and looked at her and saw her eyes become glossy.

"Oh mom don't cry." I giggled. "You remember Michael from high school don't you?" I asked and her eyes landed on my fiancé. She blinked a few times before pulling him into a hug.

"Michael how are you?! I haven't seen you in like -what? Since Andy was a baby. What are you doing here?" She smiled brightly and it dropped when I grabbed his hand.

"Mom me and Michael are engaged." I said and kissed his cheek.

"What? No you're not. This is a joke. You are joking right?" She blabbered out and I shook my head. She took a step back before her gaze fixed with Michael's. "How could you?! She's my daughter Michael! What about Jamie?! She would be so disappointed to see how you're using my daughter to forget her!" Michael's body stiffened at her name and his grip on my hand tightened.

"Mom!" I yelled at her before she slipped her hands over her mouth.

"Oh my god. I'm sorry I didn't mean that." She whispered and her shoes suddenly became more interesting.

"I'm pregnant mom." I muttered figuring it was best to put all the cards on the table at once.

"What?" She said looking at me with surprise in her eyes.

"I'm having a baby mom. Michael's the dad and were gonna raise it together."

"Andy, what are you thinking? You leave for a month and you already think you're an adult and that you can make your own decisions like that? You don't know anything about being a mom or hardly anything about Michael for that matter." She said, she didn't mean it rudely but thats the way it sounded.

I was crying. With her words and my hormones, the tears were unstoppable.

Michael held me and whispered sweet nothings in my ear, in hopes that my crying would cease, but i was hurting.

He kissed my cheek gently and grabbed a hold of my hand.

My mom glanced between us two  and sighed. "Come on get y'all's luggage. Lynnette's in the car waiting."

At the mention of my bestfriends name I perked up and then it dropped again when I looked at my mom and followed her to the car with Michael at my side.

Every step seemed like it took an hour longer to get to the car but eventually my moms black range rover popped up in my sight and I looked around hectically for Lynnette.

"Hey hoe -woah why is everyone all down?" I heard Lynnette's voice and I looked at the passenger side of the car and saw her. I ran up to her and pulled her into my embrace.

"Lynny! I missed you!" I said squeezing her tightly.

"Hey I love you Annnnn but I can't freaking breathe." She choked out and I pulled back and dragged her to Michael.

I felt little tears prickle past my eyes and I wiped them before introducing them.

"Lynny this is my fiancé Michael. Babe this is like my sister." I introduced and Lynnette held a hand over her heart.

"Like?? Are you Bestfriend cheating on me?" She said mocking her and I laughed then they shook hands.

"Come on guys let's go get some lunch and we can go home. I'm sure y'all are tired." My mom said and a second later car door slammed shut.
