I wake up with a start, a gunshot echoing outside through the corridor. I look to my side, Hunter still sound asleep. I lean over to him, vigorously shaking him awake.
"Hunter!" I yell, watching him stir in his sleep. I grab my sketch book, whacking him in the face with it. He shouts in pain, bolting up and grabbing at his face to find the culprit. I laugh, placing my book beside my bed once again.
"Page! Why did you do that?" He yells. I giggle, stopping myself from loud laughter.
"I heard a gunshot in the corridor." I tell him, my face dropping. He looks around the room before pulling a finger to his mouth.
"Quiet then!" He loudly whispers at me. I roll my eyes, looking for any sign of movement outside the safety of our room. I look through the darkness, hearing only silence. I look to Hunter, who is doing the same. I look to Hunter's bad arm, just as a scream erupts from the depths of darkness. I look vigorously into the dark depths of horror outside, looking for the face of the voice. A few moments later, a small figure rushes along the corridor, shaking door handles, hoping for an open room, a phone screen light being the only thing showing her the way. I look to Hunter, watching him nod suddenly after his silence. I point him to the door, motioning to my leg. He rushes to the door, opening it and grabbing the girl's arm. He holds her mouth, stifling her screams of shock, as he drags her in the room and closes the door behind them. He turns the girl to face me, dropping his hand and letting her rush to my bed. She stops at the edge, looking at me in awe.
"Y-you're Miss Page!" She stutters in shock. I laughs softly, nodding.
"Yeah, I am! Now, you need to trust me and Hunter." I reply, pointing to Hunter at the door.
"Y-you're Mr Hunter!" She exclaims quietly, smiling. Hunter laughs and nods his head. He points to me, the girl turning to face me once again. "Yes Miss Page!" She exclaims, standing in salute to me. I smile, looking at the shaking girl.
"No need ducky." I say, gently pushing her hand to her side. "Just listen to me." She nods quickly. "Come sit on the bed, and stay as quiet as you can, okay?" I pat the bed infront of me, watching the girl stare in shock. She cautiously gets onto the bed, putting a finger to her mouth. I copy her, looking to Hunter as I nod at him. He flicks the lights off, crouching to the floor in the darkness. I look to the girl, watching her close her eyes. "Are you scared of the dark?" I ask. She looks up at me, nodding her head.
"A little." She squeaks.
"Okay, just hold tight." I say, placing my hand over hers. She looks to her lap, at my hand, smiling to herself. We hear footsteps passing the door, causing me to shake slightly. I look to the torch light slowly passing the window. I hold my breath, the torch passing straight past us. I look to the girl. "That what was wrong? That why you were screaming?" She nods. "Anything else?" She shakes her head. I look to Hunter, nodding slowly. He flicks the lights back on. "So, can you tell us what happened?" I ask, Hunter sitting on the edge of the bed. The girl begins to whimper, tears forming in her eyes.
"I'm not sure." She begins. "I woke up and there was a tall man in the corner of my room. I shook Mummy awake, then he came over and she tried to sit infront of me and then the man pulled out a gun and..." The girl pauses, tears flowing freely now. "So I ran! I ran with my phone, trying to find a room, and came here." I pause, thinking why he didn't look in any other rooms.
"What's your name, little girl?" I ask. The girl wipes her tears, gulping.
"T-Tone Hutson." She stutters, the look of confusion on her face. I gasp, remembering the story of the Hutson's.
"He wanted you!" I gasp, looking to Hunter. He looks at me with confusion. "He wanted you Tone!" I look to the girl infront of me, shocked that I was in the presence of a Hutson, especially Tone! "You are renowned for your prophecy!" Tone's face lights up.
"The old prophecy?" She asks. I nod, my face turning pale.
"He really wants to get you then." I gasp. Tone looks to her lap, slowly getting up, putting the phone in my hand. "Tone? What are you doing?" I ask. She looks up to me, shaking.
"I'm giving myself up." She states. I gasp, shaking my head.
"No, don't Tone! If the prophecy is true, the world will end!" I tell her, causing her to stop in her tracks.
"You're right." She sighs. "Then what?" I smile, putting in the code and grabbing the gun in my coded locker.
"We take him down." I smile with an evil look. Hunter smiles at the thought of action.
"Let's go then!" He grins.
