Complications

A few days have passed, and Nick has been, almost avoiding me. We haven't really talked in person, he hasn't visited. He sent people instead of coming. They sent messages between us. I haven't seen him in those few days since I whispered it after him. Nothing. Nothing from him himself. I've cried to myself a few times, when no-one was around. Cried myself to sleep a few times. He wouldn't know though, he hasn't visited. I kick myself every time I think of what I said and what has happened since then. Nothing. I've waited long enough for him, so I need to stop. Next thing I know, another nurse comes in and stops at the side of my bed.

"Page? I have good news for you! It seems your ankle has fully recovered, so we are going to take you to the rehabilitation centre and test that ankle out!" He sounded perky! Finally, a perky nurse comes to tell me something! He steps to the side and lets me sit up. He detaches the tubes to my heart monitor that turned off at the same time. "You don't need that anymore, eh?" He holds out his hand to help me up. I accept and slowly stand up, wobbling a little. The door bangs open, and I look up to see Nick huffing whilst holding the door frame. I gasp and plop back down onto the bed in shock. He's here? He's actually here? His face lights up when he looks at me.

"Page! Am I too late, Daniels?" He looks sharply at The Nurse and he sighs.

"She literally just stood up, sir. You missed nothing. She was shaky, but stable." He replied. Nick looked at me and then at 'Daniels'

"May I?" He steps towards me, and the nurse nods his head.

"Of course, Sir!" He steps back from me to let Nick take his place. Nick steps to my side, and holds his hand out, just like Daniels. I look up at his emerald green eyes. His smile sways me. I smile back and take his hand. I slowly stand up, and this time I wobble, on purpose. Nick instantly grabs me and supports me until I 'regain my balance' once again. I smile, staring into his eyes, and he stares right back into mine. We connect once again, and I fall in love with him all over again. I giggle and look at the floor, which I NEVER do. He stops supporting me and walks around to stand infront of me, grabbing my waist. I smile, and lean in slowly. We kiss, yes! And, it was good. We stand there kissing for what feels like forever, until he pulls away and steps back. I frown at him, and he shakes his head.

"This shouldn't be happening, really. I am the head of my side, and you are soon to be the head of your side." He looks to the floor. I reverse the rolls and lift his chin up.

"Hey, hey! What's up with that, baby?" I whisper to him. He chuckles.

"You always know how to make me laugh, don't you Page?" he shakes his head at the floor, a smile on his face. "That's why I can't live without you." He sighs. He lifts his head to meet mine.

"So what do we do?" I ask. "How do we solve this problem?"
