Devil takes a hand to my mouth to shut me up. I wrestle him off and stare at him.
"WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING HERE DEVIL?" I screech. He stares at me with a glare that used to shut me up, but now it doesn't. He gets scared and yanks me into the nearest tent. My tent.
"Shush! I came here to save you!" He hissed at me. I glare at him.
"I DON'T NEED SAVING DEVIL! I AM PERFECTLY FINE HERE! OR I WOULD HAVE ESCAPED BY NOW!" I screeched. He stumbled backwards in shock, nearly plopping onto my bed. He just manages to regain his balance.
"Wh-Wh-What?" He stutters. I run to the tent entrance and scream Bobby and Hunter's name. Devil grabs my arm and pulls me back into the tent, once again putting his hand on my mouth. I push him away.
"Explain why, Page! Why the sudden change of side!" He screeches back. I stare at him. He shakes me viciously. I shove him off, not speaking to him. He face palms and lays down on my bed. I yank him up.
"Don't you DARE lay on my bed if you think for even a second I could get stuck here and need help!" I screech. I see Bobby and Hunter run into the entrance of the tent and I run to them. "Devil here got a little lost. Can you help him find his way back home, guys?" I add a weight of sarcasm to my voice and they nod at me. They both give me a hug and move to grab Devil by an arm each. Devil struggles and I walk up to him and hiss in his face. "You are sick and stupid, Devil. Get out of my sight and out of my life!" I nod at Bobby and Hunter, and they take him struggling to the single jail cell we own. I sigh and flop onto my bed. "This it too crazy!" I whisper to myself. "Father Christmas may well exist now!" I laugh at myself and start thinking about Nick and our past, from camp to when I got out. Tears start flowing again, and I didn't try to stop them. I hear commotion outside, but I ignore it. Guns haven't been shot for a while, but that was normal these days. I hear a voice speak.
"Page?" It was Nick, I knew it. I sit up and swing my legs over the side of the bed, looking at Nick smiling like a crazy person. I run to him and give him the largest hug I ever gave. He groans, then chuckles. I kiss his cheek.
"Nick! You're finally back! Are you okay?" I pull away and look down at his wounds all over his body. I tear up, staring at his wounds. He grabs my chin and pulls my face up to his. I stare for a second, taking in his features again. His face is bruised and cut, barely recognisable to how he used to look. I hug him again, crying into his shoulder.
"Sssh, Page, it's okay, I'm fine. I'm perfectlyfine, okay." He pulls away and kisses my forehead. He looks at my face. "I'mgonna go get patched up again, okay?" I nod and he walks out to go to themedical tent. I plop onto my bed and cry in thanks to myself for his safereturn. I sit there for hours, thanking everything in the world one by one. I amhappy he is back. I'm happy he is mine again.
