sorry for the excruciatingly long wait!

A few hours into our sleepover, Bryce, Sadie, and I decided to sit down and watch Beauty and the Beast. We weren't even half way into the movie when Sadie told me she was hungry. I got up to go make her favorite meal, chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese.

After I preheated the oven and took the dinosaur-shaped nuggets out of the freezer, I placed enough for all of us on the tray and popped them into the oven.

While the nuggets were cooking, I started on the mac & cheese. I stirred in the cheese and milk and put the pot on the burner.

Soon, the food was done and I doled out the servings for the three of us. I set the plates on the table and grabbed some condiments and set those on the table as well. I called Sadie and Bryce into the dining room once the table was set.

Bryce paused the movie and soon Sadie came dashing in, being closely chased by Bryce. He scooped her up in his arms and put her in one of the seats with food in front of it.

I put a bit of ketchup on Sadie's plate, as per her request. She happily dug into her meal and sipped on her apple juice flavored juice box.

Bryce and I sat on opposites sides of Sadie and ate our dinner. The silence was interrupted when Sadie spoke up to ask a question.

"Pipie?" she captured my attention. "Is Brubby still mad at me?"

"No, of course not, Princess. He was just concerned for his friend's safety," I fabricated. I looked up to see Bryce rolling his eyes and he snickered at my statement. Probably because I referred to Gabrielle as just one of Beckett's friends.

Truth be told, Beckett was sort of a player at our school. Although he had never hooked up or had sex with a girl, he had this reputation of being a heartbreaker. He was more of the "love em and leave em" type. Beckett had never cheated or done anything demeaning to a girl before but he also wasn't used to a committed relationship. Of course his family had no idea about this and I was certainly not going to be the one to break it to them.

"Does Brubby love her?" Sadie asked out of curiosity.

"I'm not too sure about that, Princess," I sighed. For a six year old, Sadie was incredibly intelligent. She understood that whenever her older brother brought a girl home that he had some sort of feelings for her. She discovered this from Beckett's previous relationship that lasted just over four months. They had some pretty serious feelings for each other too, but the relationship ended sourly when Gabrielle came into the picture.

Gabrielle would constantly throw herself at him. Whenever she was around Beckett, she would pull down the collar of her tight shirt just enough so her boobs were practically busting out. She would also bite her lip every two seconds and twirl her hair around her fingers, attempting to seduce him.

And it looks like she finally succeeded.

After we all finished dinner, Bryce took Sadie back to the living room to finish the film while I washed dishes.

While I was rinsing the cheese off a plate, I heard the front door unlock and open. Not longer after I heard the door close, my parents emerged in the kitchen.

"Hey sweetie, how was school today?" my mom asked placing a kiss on my cheek.

"It was okay," I murmured, answering the same way I did pretty much every time she asked me. "Oh, Sadie and Bryce are here for a sleepover." My mom absolutely adored Sadie because of how much she reminded her of me when I was little. When I told my mom about our guests for the evening, she rushed to the living room to see them.
