BECKETT
When I walked inside my house after rehearsal, I heard Sadie call out my nickname. "Brubby!" she yelled, running towards me.
"Hey kiddo," how're you doing today?" I smiled. I lifted her up and placed her on my hip.
"Why doesn't Pipie come over anymore?" she frowned. "I wanna have another party."
I sent my little sister a sad smile, accompanied by a anxious chuckle. "It's pretty complicated," I sighed, "don't worry about it though. Piper will come over soon, I promise."
"But it's been so long!" she whined.
"I know, but right now isn't a good time."
"Why not?" she pouted, crossing her arms over her chest.
"I did something that hurt her feelings," I confessed. "And now she doesn't want to talk to me."
"You should apologize," my sister informed me. "Maybe then she'll forgive you."
I nodded in agreement. "I know I should. I just don't know how."
"Just say you're sorry," she shrugged nonchalantly, causing me to chuckle lightly.
"Okay, I will," I kissed her cheek. "Let's go get ready for dinner."

After dinner, I excused myself to my room. I grabbed my phone and pulled up my messages with Bryce.
His last response was enough for me to divulge my entire plan to him.

The next morning, I put my plan into action. I decided it was best to give Piper her space for now. In the mean time, however, I asked Bryce to meet me by the gym so I could explain in detail what happened at the party. When I got there, I saw him, as well as Garrett, leaning against the wall.
"Hey, thanks for agreeing to all of this," I told Bryce. "I know she's you're best friend."
He nodded. "She is, so I swear to god if you hurt her again." Before he could finish his threat, Garrett stepped in.
"It's okay, let's just hear him out."
I took that as my cue to share my side of what happened that night. "I was with Gavin when Piper texted me saying that she was going to the party. I read it a few minutes before I started searching for her. A few minutes later, Gavin left to get himself a drink and Gabrielle came over and threw herself at me. She was talking about something, pushing her boobs in my face, but I just ignored her and kept looking around for Piper. That's when she grabbed my shirt and latched onto me."
