Phil was gone and AK was down for her nap. So I thought I'd practice some Radiohead on the piano because I wasn't going to make a video with the chances of waking AK up. I was so concentrated on playing that I didn't notice someone watching me. Assuming it's just Phil I continued to play until a little body was pressed into my side and a head on my arm. I stopped and looked down to find AK staring at me. "Did I wake you?" I asked afraid I was going to make her cry. She shook her head no and looked at the piano. "I thought you were afraid of me." I said. She giggled, "Wad pway prewity usic." pointing at the piano. Wait did she just call me Dad? I know she's been calling Phil, Daddy, since like the second week we've had her. "Did you just call me dad?" I asked with a smile on my face. She nodded climbing in my lap commanding, "Pway!" I chuckled and began playing again as Phil walked in the door. "Dan have you seen Alex?" He asked worried. I said, "Yup." "Where?" He asked not paying attention to me much. AK shouted, "Here! Daddy!" Phil's eyes got big and said, "Dan she trusts you now. She's not afraid." He sat down next to us and I said, "And she called me Dad." a smile breaking out on my face. Phil's smile matched min as she said, "We're a happy family now." To that I kissed him until we heard, "Ewie." and looked down to find AK hiding her face behind Winnie the Pooh.
