Today's the day we start looking to adopt. It'll be awesome if we find the child we want today. Phil's been thinking and rethinking. Making lists over and over again on what to get from the store when we find a child. He's just been a nervous mess. We had just pulled up to the orphanage when Phil said, "I'm nervous." "I know. I am as well. Why are you nervous?" I asked. Phil said, "That we won't find someone. What about you?" "That they'd be a afraid of me." I said with a shrug getting out of the car and heading inside with Phil right behind me. Walking inside, a crude old lady asked, "What can I do for you two boys?" "We were looking to adopt." i replied seeing as Phil was hiding slightly behind me. The lady asked, "What gender and age?" "A girl around the age of two." Phil said. The lady rolled her eyes saying, " We have three around that age. Just wait in this room and I'll send them in one at a time." Phil and I nodded walking into the conference like room.

The first girl that walked in had blonde hair in pigtails, was wearing a pink tutu dress and was just really happy. She stared at us and right as Phil said "Hi." she started talking a million miles a minute and bouncing up and down before running around the room. We were told her name was Emily. I looked at Phil and he shook his head no at me. Yeah, she's a bit too hyper and rowdy.

Next was a girl with brown curly hair in a purple dress. Her name was Sarah and she just sat there crying. Like I don't think I could handle that. Phil pouted saying, "Oh, no please don't cry." But that only caused her to cry more.

The last girl that we saw had black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing just a big ripped t-shirt that covered her feet and her arms. She was holding a Winnie the Pooh plushie as well. "Hey there, what's your name?" Phil asked. The girl gurgled for a second before attempting to say, "Awexamber" "Alexander?" I asked. Her eyes got big at the sound of my voice but she nodded. Phil and I then got up and crouched down in from of her. When we did that she immediately scooted closer to Phil. She's afraid of me. "Hi little one, I'm Phil and this is Dan." Phil said to the girl. She reached her hands out and made grabby hands at him. SO in typical Phil style he picked her up. "Aw Dan she's so cute." he said looking at me with puppy dog eyes. I chuckled saying, "Yes she is, but Phil she's afraid of me." "But we can work on that. It might just have something to do with how she grew up in the beginning. Besides, Dan, she's like a perfect mixture of the both of us. She has my hair and skin tone and your eyes and love fore Winnie the Pooh." Phil persuaded. Also considering that the girl was cuddled into Phil sucking her thumb looking at us in curiosity made my heart swell so I said, "okay, fine." So we walked out with little Alexander and the lady said, "You're going with her?" "Yeah, is there a problem with that?" I asked kinda rudely, but it wasn't my fault she was acting like a bitch. She just shook her head at us handing me the papers to sign. All it said was the girl's name was Alexander, so I extended it to Alexander Katherine. Now for the last name. As I was about to put down Howell-Lester, Phil said, "Make her related to Dil." "Okay, I'm not even going to argue that." I said signing the papers. Then we were guided to Alexander's room to grab a shabby looking blanket and that was it. "Is this all you have sweetheart?" Phil asked her concerned. I'm with him on that, all the other kids here seem to be doing just fine and happy with all their clothes and toys. So this makes me a bit more happy realizing that we are saving this child from DEATH.
