I woke up around nine which is when Alex would've started her first day of school. I missed it. Poop. I know I'm sick, but I wouldn't have mind if she came and woke me up. I wanted to see her off. Dan came in the room asking, "How are you feeling?" "I'm okay. How nervous was Alex when you dropped her off at school?" I asked. His response, "What do you mean dropped her off? She took the bus." "Dan, she's only eight!" I said. He said, "So she has plenty of friends she can ride with." "Dan... did you at least tell her she could come wake me up to tell her bye?" I asked. He said, "Uh... No. I thought it'd be better if we let you sleep." "Fine. Did you at least walk her to the bus stop?" I asked. Dan said, "No, she's a big girl." "Dan! you've been acting like this for the past six years towards her. She's never going to warm back up to you if you stop showing her how much you care for her. You need to realize that you are pushing her away." I said. He sighed, kissed my forehead, and walked out of the room. Ignoring me, just like he always does when I bring up how Alex feels about him.
