"AK you ready? You're going to miss the bus." Dad hollered. We still aren't on great terms. He's still scary, but only when he gets mad now, or like protective? Does that make sense? He is also really distant from me. He only gets after me when he's stressed. I walked out of my room with some boy's black skinny jeans, a random gaming shirt Daddy bought me and a red beanie with my black converse. I grabbed my mostly empty book bag and stood in front of Dad. "How come you can't just drive me? You're windows are tinted enough." I asked. He just sighed saying, "You aren't so little anymore AK. You're a big girl. You can ride the bus. Be with your friends." What friends? The people I hangout with don't feel like my friends, I don't get to go hang with them outside of school because they don't want me there. The only person who is kinda is my friend is Andrew Lanson and he's two years above me. he's in year five. "Is Daddy not gonna be able to tell me bye before I go?" I asked. Dad said, "No, he's sick so we are gonna let him sleep." "I can't even tell him bye before I leave?" I whispered. Dad said, "No, you're already creeping up on missing the bus. Just let me grab your lunch and then you can leave." He walked into the kitchen. But do you see what I mean? I bet if Daddy was awake, he'd help me and drive me to school and be nice. Dad handed me my lunch quickly giving me a side hug before pushing me out the door. Not stopping to realize hey she didn't eat breakfast or hey I didn't really tell her bye. But whatever, I'm just gonna head to the bus stop by myself on my first day of school.
