"Wake up, silly." Magda smiled as she pinched Rory's cheeks. She could hear her car keys jingle in her hands as she moved excitedly. "Double date with Marc! Get ready!"
"Fuck off, Magda. Go away."
"Don't be so negative, kiddo. Think of this date as an early birthday present."
"What?" Rory sat up, rubbing her eyes and stretching. "That makes no sense. My birthday isn't until October."
"It's the fifteenth of September, but hey, early presents are okay!" She rolled her eyes before falling back and shutting her eyes. "Seriously, Rory, get up. I don't want to be late."
"What time do we have to be there?"
"At like noon. Please, please, please get up."
"Fine." Rory sighed. "Let me take a shower and then you can do my hair and my makeup and we'll be off."
"Great! I'll text Marc and Matt. Hey, should we make a couple's group chat?"
"I could just add you to the one that's already around."
"And who's in that one?"
"Hector and Jude, Will and his girlfriend, Ian and Dana, Damon and Holly, Karlie and Seth, and I'm just in it because Seth was."
"What about Matt? You're dating again right?"
"Not really? I mean, he never asked me." She scratched her neck. "I'll be right back."

"Hey," Rory smiled at Matt, and gave him a little squeeze before sitting down next to him. Marc and Magda sat across from them, looking at the menu.
"Rory, you ruin the M name theme." Magda frowned and laughed. "Maybe if we called you by your middle name you'd be okay."
"Why, what's her middle name?"
"Maura."
"Aurora Maura Müller." Rory sighed.
"Guess what? In a few years you might be Aurora Piper." Magda said, chuckling.
"Okay, Magda Blanks." Magda rolled her eye, blushing. Matt laughed and they all got back into normal conversation.
"So, when are you guys gonna get together?" Matt asked the pair sitting across from them.
"We're already together? I asked her out weeks ago dude, where have you been?"
"Are you surprised, Matt?" Rory exclaimed, so full of love and happiness for the two of them.
"We were going to in like two minutes but since you asked.." Rory squealed. "We are. Happily together."
"Thank the lord you finally found the right guy after all this fake dating." She chuckled.
"Hey, my love life is not that dry!"
"Magda, last time you had a boyfriend was freshman year."
"Whatever. I'm with Marc, and that's all that matters right now. Besides my job. Oh, and my family. Wait, I can't forget about my friends!"
"We get it." Matt laughed and everyone smiled.

"Talking about marriage when we're not even dating. I see you, Rory." Matt said, flopping down on the bed next to her. They were at Rory's house that night to get away from the guys back home.
"About that," She turned on her side to face him. "Can I just ask you out or should I follow gender roles?"
"You don't even like, need to ask. We're like basically dating already."
"Well I want a confirmed thing so if people ask I don't have to say, 'Sort of?'"
"Fine." Matt propped his head up on his elbow and looked at Rory. "Aurora, will you go out with me?"
